Hayden POV
I don’t dare close my eyes in case when I open them again; I find out it was all just a dream. That as soon as I go to sleep, she will disappear. I watch her sleeping peacefully beside me. I close my eyes and listen to her heart beating its steady beat. I open my eyes now and watch her chest rise and fall with every breath she takes. Her eyes open and she sits up, rubbing the sleep from them. I gently pull her back down and tuck her into my side. I still can’t believe that she’s really here. The only way to ease my mind is to touch her, to feel her skin against my own, to feel the sparks spreading across my body from her touch.
“Hayden, you need to sleep. It’s not good for you to be awake all night. You have a pack and business to run.”
