This chapter is the continuation of chapter 1.
Third person
The doors to the cafe swung open and storms of people all marched inside to listen to the radio, to watch the tv broadcast and most importantly, to find the triplets.
"They're not here." Lola said, and almost instantly, at least half of the people that were stood piling into the cafe turned to leave, muttering to themselves as they left, whispering the news to every other busybody in the queue as they went about their routine to find the Alphas, to see if they were their mate, or to congratulate them, befriend them at last.
Two teenage girls pushed through the cafe doors wear short waist aprons. "Don't worry girl! We got you!" One of them, Daniella, said, holding a stick she picked up from the ground at the crowd. "Back I say! Back!" She said. "Horny b*tches." She muttered to herself, shaking her head. "Lola, why are you here on your birthday?!" Daniella asked, almost shouting to speak over the mob of angry, horny females. "THEY AREN'T HERE!" She yelled grumpily.
"Everyone else either called in sick or booked the day off and I just can't risk loosing this job because of my birthday. So I said I'd come in and work." Lola responded, trying to make as many iced coffees as she could for the line of desperate females. "Besides, I don't mind. It smelled gorgeous in here a few minutes ago. Like sweet cookies! The chef couldn't smell it though, strange." Lola muttered the last part under her breath.
Daniella and Jessica looked to each other, giving each other a questionable look, they both quietly walked off to start taking peoples orders.
"Strange..." Lola muttered to herself before carrying on with her long list of hand crafted ice coffees that she was in a hurry to make. Lola sighed and as she was froffing up the milk to pour into the cup she began boiling the water to mix with the coffee, trying her best to do it quickly, professionally and up to her usual standard, which was nearly impossible knowing that she was in such a hurry and had almost double her usual number to make. She sighed and finished making her first batch, before moving on to her second, and third, until slowly the queue of bitching she-wolves had died down and left a single, innocent girl as the last in the queue. It was the Alpha's daughter, Megan.
"A-A single iced coffee, strawberry, please." She stuttered a little and held her hands in front of her, gently tapping her feet together.
"Of course, Megan." Lola said softly, she gently took Megan's cash and handed her the correct change before making her strawberry iced coffee, exactly how she liked it. However, Lola couldn't help notice a sweet scent coming from Megan's over-sized hoodie. Lola turned to her and handed her an iced coffee, as she asked. "Megan, are you wearing any perfume?" Lola asked softly, taking in another hit of the addictive scent.
Megan giggled. "No, but this is my brothers hoodie, maybe it was his cologne you could smell?" She asked, sipping her iced coffee and nodding in approval. "Mmm! Good sh*t." Megan said with a bright smile on her face. "Thanks Lola! See you tomorrow!" She turned on her heels and skipped out of the Cafe. Sometimes it was hard to tell if she was six or sixteen. She acted like a child but drank like a teenager, with the maturity of an adult.
Once Lola had dealt with the initial mob of angry customers, she thought about the triplets, and how they still hadn't come in, even though it was past their usual time of arrival. Lola felt her heart sink a little, which was unusual as she despised the triplets for various reasons. Those reasons being the constant teasing from them that she had faced as a child, being stuck in Primary school with them as a little girl broke all of her self confidence, self esteem and self dignity, and even though she managed to rebuild all of that, she could never rebuild her care for the three ignorant little boys.
Whilst she knew they would be in control of her pack in a few months, after serious training in leadership, she decided to cherish those three months as best as she could, with only 5 more months until she left school and could enrol into college, she kept herself constantly moving, constantly earning, working as hard as she could to pass everything and excel, and show everybody that just because she was poor, doesn't mean that she wasn't clever.
"Lola!" Daniella called, slamming three small sheets of paper onto a desk. "Take these to the chef." She said, and Lola took the paper and walked over to the kitchen, pushing the door open. "Chef!" Lola's voice rang out into the kitchen as she placed the order down on the kitchen side. She pouted as she realised the soft scent of cookies and cakes was no longer something she could smell. She turned back and began walking out of the kitchen when she paused in her tracks. She took and deep breath through her nose and then immediately shoved the kitchen door open. "What the f**k is that smell, and where the f*ck is it coming from?!" Lola almost yelled. "For Alpha's sake." She immediately stormed back behind the counter and glared at the next customer. "Yes?" She asked harshly, and in response she received two fingers and a shitty grin. "Two hot cocoas and your home made flat-white, as per request of the Alpha's sons."
Lola paused, her face turned red and she began to blush heavily. She had a soft and gentle warmth in her stomach and she shivered at the feeling of her core becoming wet. "That scent..." she muttered. "It's lovely." She whispered to herself, before walking over to the brewing stand. "Can anyone else smell that?" She asked, looking to her best friends.
"No? Apart from the g*d-awful scent of Dylan's iced coffee." Daniella said with a dissatisfied frown. "It smells awful." She said, and Jessica gave her a sh*tty grin. "Smells like s*xy triplets." She grinned, before walking towards the roll-top, grabbing her note-pad and pen.
Then, suddenly, as if on a movie queue, the door swung open, and in marched the three triplets.
Dylan,
Callum,
And Aidan.
All three triplets stormed in and walked over to Megan, pushing her out of the way of the counter before turning to look at Lola.
Aidan's eyes were black. "Where is she?" He asked, although it didn't sound like he was asking, rather, demanding. He looked dreadfully terrifying with his dark eyes, instead of his usual green, and his smile faded into a blatant, straight face. "I can smell it a f*****g mile away." Aidan glared down at his sister. "Move." He snapped, before pushing her towards the tables behind him, discarding his sister almost as if she was some maid.
Aidan moved quickly towards Lola, his eyes still dark as he looked her up and down. "You." He gripped her hand tightly, and she winced at the sudden pressure she felt on her hand, her petite hand being crushed by the strength of the future Alpha. "P-please let go!" Lola squealed, backing up and trying to pull her hand out of his grip. "Y-you're hurting me!" She whimpered, before stumbling back as Aidan released his harsh hold on Lola.
Dylan, one of the other triplets, placed his arm out behind Lola, catching her so she didn't hurt herself on anything else. "Are you okay?" He asked softly, gently looking down at her with careful eyes, examining her, spending a lot of time taking in every little detail about her, as if he was trying to memorise her body.
Lola nodded and stood up on her own two feet. "I'm fine." She said, brushing down her Pinny. "But I have a job to do." She said, returning back to making the drinks she started on just before her rather rude interruption.
"Not anymore you don't." Aidan said, pulling her into him. "You, from now on, will not work another day." He gently caressed her cheek and held her tightly to him. "You, sweetheart, are the future Luna, that is your job from now on."
"What. The. F*ck?"
