I thought finding my fiancé with another woman on the eve of our engagement was rock bottom—until my own family insisted I accept being his Luna in name only, a political puppet while he mated with another. Desperate for revenge, I used a mysterious token to summon the powerful wolf I'd once saved, never imagining those silver eyes belonged to Alexander, the Alpha King himself.

One night of passion ignited something primal, awakening abilities no Omega should possess. Now, under his protection, I'm becoming everything they never expected—and far more than the submissive wolf they tried to break. Let them whisper about the Omega who dared to claim an Alpha King. With each passing moon, as my powers grow and our bond deepens, I'm done being anyone's pawn. This time, when they come for us, they'll learn what happens when you push an Omega too far.

Chapter 1: Betrayal and Escape
(Eleanor's POV) The full moon's silvery light filtered through the forest canopy as I made my way to William's cabin, my heart fluttering with anticipation. Tomorrow would be our official engagement announcement at the full moon ceremony, and I couldn't wait to surprise him. Despite being an omega - the lowest rank in our hierarchy - I was about to become the future Luna of the Crimson Fang Pack. Me, the disappointment, the shame of my beta parents, finally bringing honor to our family. My wolf, purred contentedly within me. Maybe now they'll finally accept us, she whispered in my mind. Maybe now they'll see we're worth something. The soft glow of lamplight spilled from William's cabin windows, and my enhanced werewolf hearing picked up voices inside. My steps faltered as a female laugh drifted through the night air - definitely not the usual pack members who visited William. "The pack will accept whatever I decide," William's deep voice carried clearly through the window. My breath caught at the arrogant confidence in his tone. "Being the Alpha King's nephew has its privileges." I crept closer, my heart beginning to pound. Something wasn't right. Through the window, I could see William's broad back, his arms wrapped around... Isabella? The notorious rogue wolf who'd been hanging around our territory? "Even taking you as my true mate while keeping Eleanor as Luna for appearances - who would dare object?" William continued, his hands sliding possessively down Isabella's back. "Uncle Alexander's support makes me untouchable." The world tilted sideways. My knees buckled as Isabella's sultry laugh pierced my ears. "And that boring little omega actually believed you chose her for love." No, no, no... my wolf howled in anguish within me. The partially formed mate bond between William and me - the one we'd been nurturing for months - began to tear. White-hot pain ripped through my chest, stealing my breath. I collapsed to my knees in the dirt, one hand pressed against my sternum as if I could physically hold my heart together. "Who's there?" William's sharp voice cut through my agony. The cabin door flew open, spilling harsh light across my crumpled form. I looked up through tears to see William towering over me, his handsome face twisted with anger rather than guilt. Behind him, Isabella leaned against the doorframe, wearing nothing but William's shirt, a smug smile playing on her lips. "What are you doing here?" William snarled, looming closer. The mate bond screamed at the proximity, torn between longing and revulsion. "You..." My voice cracked. "You and Isabella... How could you?" William's expression hardened, his eyes going cold in a way I'd never seen before. "So you know. Well, it doesn't change anything. You're still going to be my Luna." "No." The word came out as barely a whisper. His hand shot out, gripping my arm hard enough to bruise. "Listen carefully, omega." He spat the word like a curse. "You should be grateful I'm even considering you as my mate. Isabella is my true mate, but you're the one with the right bloodline. You will accept this arrangement, or I'll make sure you're exiled from the pack. Understand?" My wolf snarled within me, but we both knew the truth - an omega had no power against a future Alpha. Especially not one backed by the Alpha King himself. "Don't worry, Eleanor," Isabella purred from the doorway. "I'll let you have him on full moons." Her laugh felt like claws raking across my soul. I yanked my arm free and ran. Tears blurred my vision as I crashed through the forest, branches whipping at my face. My feet carried me home automatically, though I knew I'd find no comfort there. Still, some desperate part of me hoped... The house was lit up like a festival, music and laughter spilling from every window. Right. Sarah's party. Of course my parents would be celebrating their perfect adopted daughter while I was having my heart ripped out. I burst through the front door, anger and hurt warring in my chest. The decorations were elaborate, far nicer than anything they'd ever done for my birthdays. Sarah stood at the center of it all, practically glowing with attention. "Where have you been?" Mother's sharp voice cut through the chatter. "You're supposed to be helping with Sarah's party." I ignored her, turning to Father instead. "William betrayed me. He wants to mate with Isabella but keep me as his Luna for appearances." My parents exchanged a look that made my stomach drop. "And?" Father said coldly. "That sounds like a reasonable arrangement." The casual dismissal hit harder than William's betrayal. "Reasonable?" I choked out. "He cheated on me!" Mother sighed dramatically, every inch the disappointed beta. "Oh, Eleanor. Always so dramatic. This is why omegas shouldn't be in positions of power. You're too emotional." Years of neglect and shame bubbled up inside me, hot and poisonous. "Is that all I am to you? A shameful omega? Your own daughter?" Father's face darkened dangerously. "Watch your tone, girl. We've given you everything, despite the embarrassment of having an omega child. You will mate with William and finally bring some honor to this family." No more, my wolf growled within me. For once, we were in perfect agreement. I straightened my spine, meeting Father's gaze. "No. I won't mate with William. I won't be your pawn anymore." Mother gasped. "You ungrateful little-" The words cut off as she shifted, her beta form lunging at me with extended claws. I dodged on pure instinct, my omega reflexes surprisingly quick. One of her claws scored my back as I bolted for the door, but adrenaline dulled the pain. I crashed back into the forest, running blindly until my legs gave out. Lying there in the dirt, my body aching from both the partial bond-break and my mother's attack, my fingers brushed something in my pocket - the mysterious token given to me years ago by the powerful wolf I'd saved from a hunter's trap. I'd never learned his true identity, only that he'd promised I could use it to summon him twice. I remembered his presence, how even as a young wolf I'd sensed his extraordinary strength. The kind of strength that could make William feel as helpless as he'd made me feel. "You made me feel the pain of betrayal," I whispered, clutching the token. "Now it's your turn." The full moon hung heavy overhead as I activated the token. My heart thundered as the mysterious wolf materialized in the clearing, his presence even more overwhelming than I remembered. Our eyes met, and the intensity of his gaze stole my breath. Raw power radiated from him, intoxicating in its purity. "My request..." I stepped closer, deliberately letting my omega pheromones fill the air. "Mate with me." Not waiting for his response, I pressed my lips to his in a desperate, passionate kiss. He responded instantly, pulling me closer with a possessive growl that made my wolf purr with unexpected delight. His touch ignited something primal within me, far more intense than anything I'd ever felt with William. "Little wolf," he growled against my lips, his voice deep and resonant. The pet name sent shivers down my spine. "Do you know what you're asking for?" "Yes," I breathed, though truthfully, I wasn't sure anymore. This feeling - this overwhelming pull toward him - wasn't part of my revenge plan. Neither was the way my wolf kept purring mate, mate, mate in my mind." His golden eyes blazed with an intensity that made my knees weak. One large hand cupped my face, thumb brushing over my bottom lip. "There's no going back from this," he warned, his touch surprisingly gentle despite the barely contained power I could feel thrumming through him. "Once I claim you, you're mine. Forever." The possessiveness in his voice should have frightened me. Instead, it made my heart race faster. "I don't care," I said, pressing closer. "I want-" He cut me off with another searing kiss, backing me up against a tree. The rough bark pressed into my back as his hands roamed down my sides, leaving trails of fire in their wake. His scent surrounded me - pine needles and mountain air and pure Alpha dominance. My wolf was practically singing with joy. "Mine," he growled, nipping at my neck where a mating mark would go. The gentle scrape of his teeth made me gasp. "Say it."" mine," "Yours," I agreed without thinking, tilting my head to give him better access. Some distant part of my mind protested that this wasn't how revenge was supposed to feel - hot and desperate and right in a way nothing ever had before." He pulled back slightly, studying my face with those intense golden eyes. There was something familiar about them, something I couldn't quite place. But before I could examine the thought, he was kissing me again, and all rational thought fled. His touch was like fire and lightning, awakening parts of me I hadn't known existed. Each kiss, each caress felt like he was claiming not just my body but my very soul. My wolf submitted willingly, joyfully, to his wolf's dominance. This wasn't the political arrangement I'd had with William - this was pure instinct, pure need. When he finally claimed me fully under the light of the full moon, it felt like coming home. Like finding a piece of myself I hadn't known was missing. In the distance, I heard William's anguished howl as the pain of my betrayal tore through him. But somehow, it didn't feel like revenge anymore. Not with this mysterious wolf holding me like I was precious, his touch alternating between possessive and tender in a way that made my heart ache. "Sleep, little wolf," he murmured against my hair afterward, wrapping me in his warmth. I should have been planning my next move, figuring out how to deal with William's inevitable rage. Instead, I found myself drifting off, feeling safer than I ever had before. ——————————————————————————————————————— [In William's mansion...] The pain hit without warning. William doubled over, clutching his chest as the mate bond with Eleanor shattered completely. Through the agony, he felt something else - the echo of Eleanor's pleasure, her willing submission to another wolf. "William?" Isabella touched his arm, concern mixing with fear on her face." "Find her!" he roared, his eyes blazing red with fury. "Find Eleanor and whoever dared to touch what's mine!" Pack members scattered to obey, but William barely noticed. All he could focus on was the phantom sensation of Eleanor - his carefully chosen political match, his key to maintaining his status - forming a true mate bond with another wolf. The pain was excruciating, but the humiliation was worse. "You'll pay for this," he snarled into the night. "Both of you."
