Avery's POV: "Blake Madrid?" I ask. "Yes, Blake Madrid. He's done illegal things and your mother and I don't want you anywhere near him," my dad explained to me. "But I'll never meet him?" "Avery, you never know. We just want you to be safe. He manipulates people. Don't let him control you and take over you. Especially your body," my mom said. "Okay... let's not go there. I don't want to talk about this anymore, mom and dad. I get it." My name is Avery Lake. I'm 18 and in college. High school... was a wreck. I mean it was pretty fun and good... but it was just not for me. My middle school year was way better than that! I don't even know... but it was.. just terrible. My grades! I got a 3.8 GPA!
