Chapter 19

I’ve never felt so comfortable. My eyes were closed and I found myself snuggling into a warm embrace. Wait a second?! Jumping up surprised I look down to see Blaine sleeping. We must of passed out while I was a crying mess. I find myself just admiring Blaine while he sleeps. His arm started to move as if trying to find me, I found myself smiling. I didn’t want to wake him but knew we probably should head down stairs and start the day.

“Bla-,” while I was about to shake him to wake him but he grabs me and pulls me into him so we are now spooning. Geez he has some fast reflexes.

“Shhh ten more minutes baby,” he whispers in my ear. My entire body heats up. I’m sure I’m as red as a tomato, but I can’t help but stay in is arms as if my body has a mind of its own. Why does he keep calling me baby girl? Oh goodness my heart is going to explode.

I must have fallen asleep again because when I woke I was alone but noticed I was also in my own room at my parents house. Damit I’ve been so focused on Blaine I almost forgot about my friends! Geez I’m a shitty person. I jolt up about to get out of bed and notice a note laying on the night stand. Picking it up I read it.

Your friends are ok. They have rooms at the pack house. Spend a little time with your family before you head this way.

It scares me sometimes how well he knows me. I finally get up head to shower and then get ready for the day. I throw on some jeans, square toed boots, and a black tank. Throwing my hair into a messy bun and but on a maroon headband then started to head downstairs.

“Morning Kiki!” Nina said I walk down stairs. Max looks up and smiles and so does Nina. Where does the time go? They’ve grown so much and my heart aches a little because I’ve missed them growing. Never again.

“Morning thing 1 and 2.” I say with a smile.

“I was hoping you’d forget you call us that,” says Max with a scowl.

“Never!” I chuckle.

Mom is staring at us with a smile on her face and I notice her eyes watering, “ I’ve missed having all my babies together.”

“I’ve missed all of you mom,” walking up to her to give her a hug.

Dad comes into the room smiling and kisses my head before taking a seat. I join him in the chair next to him.

“Kierra I’m making all your favorites! So I hope you have a big appetite!”

The rest of the morning goes by nicely. We catch up on the past 4 years. Mom even gave me presents from my past birthdays. Even at twenty five I’m still spoiled. Finally after a few hours I head to the pack house. As I walk through the door I see the gang in the living room.

“ Hey guys sorry for going MIA for a while there. “ I said putting my head down sadly.

Milly stands up. “Don’t apologize you haven’t seen your family and friends in years.”

“Kierra you’re lucky to still have people in your life like this. Never apologize for that.” Sam tells me. I slightly feel guilty. I do have my family still and most of them don’t have anyone except each other.

“I love you all so much.” I whisper but they heard me.

“We love you to.” Says Deacon with a smile. I smile at all of them. Suddenly I’m being sandwiched once again.

“I swear you better never leave us again.” I laugh knowing it’s Johnny and Jackson.

“I’m happy to be home.”

“Come on guys give her some air.” I see Blaine coming down the stairs fixing his cuffs on his sleeve. Damn he’s so sexy. Ugh there I go again. The guys step away and I just smile at them.

“I want to introduce everyone. If that ok? We are all going to be working together so might as well.” I say with a smile. They all nod.

“Alright! So guys this is Milly she’s pretty bad ass, not only is she strong but she’s pretty much our computer wiz and muscle.” Milly nodded and smile when I mentioned the last part.

“Sierra is our beautiful but scary interrogator, I promise she can get anyone to talk.” She smirks.

“Sam is an amazing tracker. It’s seriously crazy. His senses are stronger then the average wolf.” He does a shy wave.

“Dom is pretty much the scary extra muscle s***h therapist.” He rolls his eyes.

“Deacon is a great informant. He has connections everywhere.” Deacon smiles, “nice to meet all of you.”

“And James here if you haven’t notice is his twin. He’s also kind of a scary sniper/ spy/ assassin that can kill you.” James arches a brow at my description. I shrug.

“So a hit man?” Says Johnny.

“Pretty much,” I say casually.

“Gang this is Johnny the beta, Jackson delta, and Blaine alpha. They’ve been my best friends most of my life. Well now that that’s done we can get to business. So what’s next alpha?”

“Straight to work I see.” He smiles but I noticed he looked at me in a weird way when I called him alpha. Was it lust? Maybe I imagined it.

Everyone takes a seat in the living room. I find a spot next to James and sit. I look up at him and smile. He smiled back at me and puts his arm around my shoulders giving me a side hug while placing a kiss on my head. I suddenly hear a low growl. It was soft and I don’t think anyone else heard it over the all the talking but I did. I looked around and saw Blaine’s face. He looked like he was trying very hard to hold in his anger. I felt confused for a second. Was he jealous? Finally he seems regain his composure and stands up making everyone quiet.

“We warned the other pack about a possible attack so their guards are up right now. I’m also making sure our boarders are also secure.” He says in a voice full of authority. Everyone nods.

I get up next, “We need to find him before they attack anyone. Me and my team will go and-“

“No!” Yells Blaine. I’m stare shocked. He’s never raised his voice to me before.

“You are not leaving again! This is your home! You won’t leave this pack!” He’s shaking he’s so mad. Before I could comfort him freakin James shoots up to his feet and fuels the damn fire even more.

“Don’t you dare tell her what to do! We are trying to make things better for everyone! This f*****g rouge king needs to die and we are the best team for the job! Kiera has been leading us this far and will continue! Don’t think for a second you can tell her what to do!” James continues to yell and so does Blaine. I’ve finally had enough.

“Everyone shut up and take five!” I yell and everyone goes quiet.

“Blaine with me.” I tell him as I start to walk upstairs to his sound proof office.

I shut the door and lock it.

“What the hell is going on with you?”
