Chapter 1 Prologue
CHAPTER 1 -
Please let me go... Please let me go... The middle aged man screamed in panic.
I tried going to help him, but I couldn't,... Once again I felt my self been held by a barrier while some one is dieing right in front of me.
Before I could raise my head to see the murderer, everything turned dark...
What just happened? I said, while breathing, a bead of tears fell from my eyes,. I just got into another trance,... What I don't get is why I keep getting this trance of strange people dying, and that still, by a particular person who I end up not seeing clearly before the trance ends.
It was already a full moon night I was still standing on the balcony watching the moon as usual when this trance occurred.
I have to go prepare for my exam I said to my self, before heading inside my room.
Prologue
My name is Elena Kent. I live in Paris with my mother. My dad died a long time ago in a car accident—one of the most painful experiences I’ve ever faced.
We’re not exactly wealthy, but in our town, we’re considered one of the richest families.
For as long as I can remember, I’ve felt different from everyone else. It’s not just a feeling—it’s a truth I’ve come to fear. Most of the things that seem normal for others can be dangerous for me. Sometimes, just trying to do what others do feels like it could cost me my life.
I don’t like being around too many people. Maybe it’s because I’m an introvert—or maybe it’s because I’ve never truly fit in. I have only a few friends, and even with them, I always feel like I’m holding something back. Something deep. Something strange.
This year, I have one dream: to attend the most talked-about school in Paris—the one everyone calls Witches High.
Every student is working hard to get in. Rumors swirl around it like a storm. Some say it’s a supernatural school that trains witches and magical beings. Others say it’s just an ordinary high school with a strange name.
No one really knows.
Its existence is wrapped in mystery. It's said to only admit one student every ten years, and no one knows why. That mystery only makes it more desirable. The lucky student who gets in is chosen through an exam—one of the toughest anyone has ever taken.
And I want to be that student.
I don’t know why I feel so drawn to it, but something inside me tells me it’s where I belong. That something is waiting for me there. Something powerful.
The entrance exam is just around the corner. Lately, I’ve buried myself in books, pushing harder than ever. I study late into the night while the rest of the world sleeps.
Maybe it’s more than just a dream. Maybe it’s fate.
I must attend this school, no matter what... I muttered why studying, my life now depends on it,.
After drowning my self in books like a book worm, let just say,... I am really a book worm, but I really need to pass this exam.
If you understand what my I meant by my life depends on it, you should know while I am so yearning to pass it,.
I was reading my book when, I felt some kind of attraction,... I knew it was a full moon and yes just like always I couldn't sleep but the feeling I was having right now was different, I was still pondering what had been going on in my life, recently, when I heard my name from an otherworldly voice... "Elena", with the way it sounded, I could tell that it wasn't a normal human voice.
