Piper looked around the deck at Mooney’s and couldn"t help but smile. It looked like she and her friends had taken over the entire deck area. Everyone was in a jovial mood as they watched the sunset.
Loud laughter came from one table, and Piper glanced over to see the chief of police and Dolores laughing at something that Dr. Ben Jenson had said. Her mothers sat on either side of Ben, looking at him with adoring eyes.
"Cheers."
Piper looked up at Courtney and the frosty margarita glass she was holding out for her. Without hesitation, she took the drink offered and raised it to her friend.
