303 Words
Ube and the army he was commanding were almost upon the city of Getu and the king of Getu was restless. He had been informed of the number of men Ube was bringing to war with them and he knew that Getu soldiers were outnumbered two to one. He knew too that they might not stand a chance with Ube's presence. His general had told him that everything was moving well with the soldiers and that they too had been through with their preparation and ready to advance. The king gave the order and the general commanded the army of Getu to advance and they began advancing immediately. The gates of the palace of Getu was raises and the army from Getu began to troop out in their thousands. On the hill where Ube and his army were standing they began to chant for war and for thirst for blood, raising their swords in the air. The soldiers of Getu knew that if war was to break out Ube alone would kill a thousand soldiers. *********** On the road leading to a small village called Ubiam was the Queen of Getu and her two daughters. They were riding and had to stop at a point to drink from a river. The two daughters were seeing that their mother was crying and they stood aside and discussed. The elder sister's name was Oyolima and the younger sister was Golibe. They kept discussing about their safety and the safety of their father whom they left behind in the palace of Getu. "Mother is depressed" said Oyolima. "I do not want to think about that now. We have to take her with us and continued moving. It does not matter if she is depressed or not, we have to do what we must do" said Golibe.
