As Shante, Adere's mother and Shuru were being surrounded by the wolves Shante could not think of a way out of the situation and so she resorted to surrendering everything to the gods. She waited while the beasts approached but all of a sudden the beasts began to walk back and then Shante, Adere's mother and Shuru could see someone approaching and when they looked very well they saw that the person was the same girl that came to them after Adere had disappeared with the pot. They looked closely and could not see her very well again because of the cloud that covered her. She moved until she was with them and they were gripped with fear of her presence, she looked like someone that had been poured fire on and smoke was escaping from every part of her body. She was holding an axe in her left hand and even the wolves feared her. When she had reached where they stood she lowered the Axe on the going and then turned and snarled and the wolves all ran away. She turned to face the rest and they could see that she was smiling at them. She picked her axe and said. "I will not always come here to rescue you all from your troubles, which is why you all have to be on alert and protect yourselves. You are of no use dead. Why die now when you are not yet done with your destiny in life? I would suggest that you all should go to land called Oro and while you are there wait for when Adere will join you and when he does come to you at Oro then plan with him on how to go to the land of Aba and retrieve the seed of power from the king of Aba. Do this and do it fast" She disappeared, leaving the axe for them and Shante picked up the axe and started examining. "Did she mean to leave the axe for us?" She asked and then Shuru held Adere's mother by the shoulder and made her to understand that the gods were with them and according to Kiso Adere was safe and would be rejoining them soon. They left for Oro and on their way Shante kept on swinging the axe and when Shuru told her that she was being too obsessed with the axe she turned angrily and warned him about telling her such again and Shuru who could not understand what he said that could have made Shante to be so angry decided to keep quite as they continued moving to Oro. When they arrived in the village or Oro it was a hunter who told them after they had asked that the had reached the land of Oro and told them they should be careful of bandits while the moved about. "The land of Oro is filled with bandits and if you want to stay safe you need to travel on the roads filled with people and so travel in ground hystas just as you all are doing now. Travel in group and good luck to you all" the hunter had said and left. Shante and Shuru were in the front while Adere's mother was walking behind them. When they have reached an abandoned hut Adere's mother said she needed to rest and Shante and Shuru went hunting. When they came to a particular forest Shante, with the axe decided to make use of it when they came face to face with a strange beast. The beast had first went for Shuru who could not fight it off was knocked off and he fell beside a dirt and fainted. Shante began to run at first and then had to stop and slowly turned to face the animal and the best snarled and waited to see what she would do. Shante then began to swing the axe and started going towards the beast. The beast snarled again and began to run forward, to pounce on Shante. She threw the axe forward at the beast with all her strength and the head of the axe went into the heart of the beast and it fell in the dusty ground and died at once. Shante then raised her head up in glory and understanding of what she was becoming. She was feeling a new self and she knew the gods was with her. She slowly went and got hold the act that was still fixed in the heart of the beast and drew it out and blood pumped out. She raised the axe up and Shuru who had woken up could feel the glory of the axe. He was smiling by now as he watched that the beast had been killed by Shante. Shante looked at him and smiled back and they both took hold of the beast and began to drag it back to the hut where Adere's mother was waiting for them and when they got there they met her seated and when she saw them drag the beast inside she was caught with fear and she sprang on her feet. Shante and Shuru lowered the beast in front of her and Shuru explained to her how the beast was killed by Shante using the axe that Kiso left behind. Adere's mother was pleased by their story and so she stood up and gave them hugs and kissed their cheeks. In the same forest the people of Oro had come to hear about three strangers had entered and someone said he saw two of them drag a strange beast to where they were staying. The people felt those were evil and refused to go there.. While Shante and Shuru were roasting the meat of the beast Adere's mother said she would like to go and ease herself in the bush and when she left Shuru and Shante began to enjoy the meat. Where Adere's mother went to ease herself she saw the spot where Shante killed the beast and looked closely to see that the blood of the beast was not red in color but blue instead. She went back to the hurt and met the two sleeping and she picked the axe and looked at it carefully, seeing ancient inscriptions on it. She was still thinking about it when some men outside began to call them out and when she shook Shante and Shuru she found out that something was wrong somewhere. They were snoring and were not moving. She looked at the remaining meat and found that the same blue blood had appeared on it. She walked out of the hut with the axe in her hand to meet with those that were outside and calling on her. When she stepped out she met five men and they were the bandits the people of Oro spoke about and she wanted to know why they had come to her. She stood there watching them. This actually reminded her encounter with three bandits in her husband's house two years after Adere was born. She had gone to the bush to fetch some firewood all so she could prepare food for her sick husband and then there were bandits who came from nowhere and wanted to have her. She had at first ran and they pursued her and caught up with her and then forced her back to where they were and made her to sit down and listen to them. One of the men had begun talking and when he talked he spoke about her husband not being man enough to take care of the beautiful woman the gods gave him, instead he was falling sick and his beautiful wife was roaming the bush and looking for firewood. Adere's mother had made them to understand that she had a two year old son at home that needed her attention but the men laughed and told her to shut up..They had wanted to forcefully have their way on her when she seized a big stick and left it on the head of the one that already bent down l hold her and he fe heavily. She stood up and when one of them tried to hold her she hit him with the same stick in the face and watched blood come out of his eyes. The third man wanted to run and she threw the heavy stick at him and it hit him on the back of his head and he screamed and died immediately. Adere's mother till date could not understand how she was able to do all of that and how she got the power. She had gone home to find her husband well and when she narrated the issue to him he did not believe her or may be he did but he did not believe it was as serious as his wife made it sound and so he dismissed that from his mind. Adere's mother as she remained standing there she warned the five men to stay from her and from the hut and the five men began to laugh. One of them said to her, "Drop the axe woman or would you want us to hurt you?" when the man said this Adere's mother looked sideways and then returned her eyes to look at them and then told them to stop coming any more closer but they insisted and then she wanted to fight them if that was what it would take. As the first man started coming at her the rest rounded her up and she made sure that even if she would die she would not let the men defeat her without putting up a fight. She swung the axe and it looked like the axe had the power of its own for it helped her to swing very well. She swung it again and the axe took her up and she was out of their midst. The way she flew out of their midst amazed the men and they watched her in awe. One of the men who still felt that it did not take much in order to bring the woman down kept on nearing her and Adere's mother was done warning them. The fight began and the other four men went to join their brother as they faced Adere's mother. Adere's mother did not require a power of her own because before long the axe had already helped her to bring the men all down.
