Her body wasn't even cold, when there was a rumble in the ground and a dark shadow appeared in the room. Francesco and Isabella looked at each other in fear as some creature that did not look human appeared. Giuseppe wasn't afraid, but he also wasn't expecting this visit. Anubis the God of the Death had arrived. He had smelled her coming and he knew his son would be taking it hard. But more importantly he had a message to deliver. He appeared in a lavish bedroom, where two people he guessed were Bastet's new parents were cowering in a corner. He looked from them to Radames his son who seemed surprised at his visit. Anubis approached the bed and looked at Bastet's lifeless body, she had been pretty in this life to. Before he could do what, he came to Radames spoke. “Father what are you doing here?” Radames asks. Anubis looks at him, “I'm taking her soul with me for safe keeping until it is time for her to be reborn. Of course, this could all have been avoided if you had given her the gift.” Radames let out a sigh, “Father you know I can't do that.” Anubis shook his head, “There is a difference my son between can't and won't. Whatever your reasons maybe, your unhappiness and sorrow you feel right now are your own fault. Now before I go, I have a letter for you. It will tell you where to find her next.” Anubis handed Radames a letter, that was sealed by the Goddess Bastet. Radames took it and thanked his father. Anubis looked back at Bastet, and took her hand, he carefully pulled her soul from her lifeless body and carried it back with him into the underworld. Bastet was unaware of what was going on, she felt like she was floating in a dark and empty space, because of course, she was... Giuseppe lets out a sigh and opens the letter from the Goddess Bastet. Inside it were details on when and what area Bastet's soul would be reborn. It would be a long time before he found her again. He would have to wait over six hundred years to see her again. Six hundred long years all alone. He let out another sigh, but before he could do anything all hell broke loose. Francesco had heard everything and he wanted to know what it meant. “Giuseppe you have some explaining to do, what did he mean you could have saved her, or avoided this?” Giuseppe waited a moment trying to figure out how to answer, finally he spoke. “There is a way to make people immortal, but it comes with a price. A price I don't ever want her to have to pay.” Francesco was angry, “What's the price?” “She would have to sacrifice an innocent person and take their life in doing so she would become immortal, because she has offered the gods the ultimate gift. A pure soul. I don’t want her to have to kill someone just to be selfish and keep her forever. So now, she’s gone again and I have to wait over six hundred years to see her again.” Giuseppe says quietly. Francesco glares at him, “At least you have a chance to see her again. We will never get to be with her again, we have to live with her death the rest of our life. And it's your fault.” He and his wife left Giuseppe to his grief, for they had to take time to grieve on their own. The loss of their only child was more than they could bear, and after a few days, they joined her in death... Giuseppe had other plans, he sold his businesses, sold his home packed only a few belongings like clothes and then he took a boat and began his journey...
