Chapter Ten: Travel Alone

Giuseppe knew he needed to change a lot, including his name. He cut his hair short, had the barber dye it a light blonde color and then he got the special documents he would need to change who he was. So, after a few months of traveling, Giuseppe finally got a new identity. He began calling himself Sebastiano Genovese. He claimed to be an orphan which technically he was now.
He traveled the world just letting time pass before he could see her again. He traveled all over Europe, then for a few centuries, but he still had about four centuries left before she would be reborn. Sebastiano grew bored of Europe after a while and went to other places. He even joined in a few wars out of utter boredom.
Although killing had never really been his thing, it helped him to vent his frustration and help him get out of his own lonely mind. Then when war grew to boresome he moved on to something else to keep him distracted.
He even traveled back home to Egypt and spent some time with his father and the Goddess Bastet. They of course welcomed him with open arms, and after three centuries passed, Bastet reminded him that it was almost time, and he needed to go and become someone.
So, with a heavy heart Radames/Sebastiano left Egypt and went to Italy. He had traveled there before and had liked it but things had changed in the last few centuries. There had been many wars since that, it seemed humans enjoyed killing one another, and Radames wondered, what the next century would bring and what kind of world Bastet would be reborn into. He found a quiet town in Italy named Naples and he settled down there. He opened a vineyard and made wine.
Of course, with his knowledge, he made some of the best wine in the country and his name became well-known. But he kept his home small and although he was still richer than any other human that lived, he did not flaunt his riches. He wanted to have a peaceful life until she returned. And he did for about fifty years, that is until people started to notice that he was not getting any older. There were rumors about him, about what he could be and of course people automatically assumed vampire, which of course was wrong.
Radames worked hard, and the few friends he had worked hard with him. The friends he had knew that there was something different about it. But there was only one friend who knew the actual truth. His name was Valentine Cecino and he was Radames best friend. He had first met Radames when he came to Italy. After years of being alone, Radames finally told him the secret of becoming immortal.
And although Radames did not approve at first, Valentine ended up taking a pure soul and sacrificing it to the gods, gaining immortality. Not to say he couldn't be killed, but it would take another immortal to end his life. So, Valentine and Sebastiano spent many many years together, and although Sebastiano had told Valentine who he really was, he didn't tell him what he was waiting for.
After many years, the suspicions of the people around him and Valentine grew. All the suspicions led to accusations, until finally one person began researching Sebastiano, and Valentine.
This led to a lot of hardships for him. Hardships that led to drastic measures for him...
