Evaelona: The Trails of Advancement

The year's 2060. And none was left to hear the name of Wade Wilson. He is the first ranked general detective in Antica. But what made him so famous? What did Wade do that made his name inscribed in gold in history?   The skills of Wade Wilson are so much and so extraordinary that he was able to solve a mysterious crime which was known as the "Chain Crimes" within a week. This crime spree happened in December 2050 & it happened simultaneously within 30 countries by a group called "Users". Not a very good name but the havoc they created was devastating. Sacking billions of dollars from stocks, leaking information, crippling governments, and whatnot. There wasn't a crime that they left out during this time. And none dared to stand before them. All but one. And he was none other than Wade Wilson. Using his wits and versatility, he was able to find the cause of the crimes known as the "Specter Effect" and was able to utilize it to his advantage and stopped them once and for all. Although some survived, he was able to stop it in time. The spree spread to 30 countries within a day. And it would have spread to a 100 within 2 and a half days if not for Wade Wilson. That's why he has been awarded the title, "Best Detective" by all those countries.   ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "The Specter Effect is a feeling of intelligence & ferocity when coming in contact with a gas called TN-1 or Tonic-Neutralization-01 of Antica Pharma-Tech. Designed for neutralizing every medicine side effects, the inhaler gets enhanced powers & intelligence if inhaled in excess amounts. The worst part is the loss of consciousness & expeditious rise of roguery. Logged on 20th September 2050, Antica tested it on a group of volunteers from the IT Department of Antica Central Tech Institute (Reason for selection of such candidates was evaluative technical synopsis & the fact that they were a bit slothful to record the data). But due to carelessness, the volunteers inhaled it in excess amounts and the result was the formation of the group called Users". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------    But who knew that he had to lose his true & dearest friend, Jonathan Devoe. Jonathan Devoe was Wade's right hand in his works & his closest friend since childhood. He was the one to know about the "Specter Effect" of the "TN-01". And on the last night of September 2060, Jonathan was stabbed on the back mercilessly while fighting with the survivors of the "Users". Wade knew that his friend was in danger. But he couldn't do anything. He was constantly being thrown back from the fight and Jonathan was always being pushed away from Wade. It was the perfect strategy of keeping them separated during the fight and killing them when the time is right. And when the unspeakable happened, Wade could do nothing. Jonathan although injured at a critical level, fought till the last to keep his friend safe. Wade tried to fight for Jonathan but failed due to the cunning strategy of the "Users".   A new day. A new month. And it was also raining somehow. But all was lost for Wade. He almost became crazy not being able to bear the loss of his friend. And what could be more agonizing than going to bury him? He almost fainted on it but somehow managed to do all. And for the past few days, he didn't talk to anyone nor did anything. It was like he removed himself from the world & no one named Wade Wilson existed.   But this isn't the end. After the day of the burial of Jonathan, Wade got a package from Jonathan's brother, Mark Augustus. Wade was a bit confused as he didn't leave any package of his with Jonathan. And he surely didn't with Mark. So he was quite curious about it. When he asked Mark about it, he said that he had no idea who left the package at their house. But the recipient was Wade and thus he delivered it to him thinking it was something from Jonathan.   “Mark Augustus is an IT student at Antica Central Tech Institute. And he is also a heck of a programmer. Wining all the programming competitions of the institute & other international ones, he surely bought fame to Antica. And being inspired by him, Jonathan became a national security agent doing the job of safe-keeping all the information of the country by encrypting them heavily every day.”     Now things got even weirder. Jonathan never hides anything from Wade, especially when writing emails & sending packages. With a strange shudder down the spine, Wade slowly opened the box. And in it, he found a letter of Jonathan's (Jonathan's writing was very bad and so Wade could easily identify it) & an odd-looking box. Strange writings on the body & a lock of some type. Wade started reading the letter & almost freaked out if it wasn’t for the last line.   “For Wade Wilson, If you are reading this, it means that I am dead. I know that I never keep anything from you. But a part of my life is unknown to everyone I have ever met & known. And you will be the only one to know about it. Like my brother Mark, I too am a very brilliant computer engineer. But the level of work that I am engaged in is highly confidential. I code petabytes of data every day so that mankind may remain safe from attacks like the Chain Crimes. And the embarrassing thing is that I had to take the cover of my friend to hide my identity. I am really sorry about that. And I am sure you have a million questions after reading this much. For that, I sent a box and a lock with this mail. Use your wits and open that box to attain the concealed object. And wear it to sleep. I promise that we will meet again and you will get all your answers. But for now, I can’t say anything more than this: I am waiting for your arrival. Yours sincerely, Jonathan Devoe a.k.a Nathan Joe. P.S: Don’t freak out.” Wades' hands shook like crazy after reading that letter. He was already shocked by the brutal death of his friend and now this. He is now promising to meet him. His real name is also not Jonathan Devoe. Either he has really gone mad or something is really up. Nevertheless, he had a box with a separate lock and he had to open it to know more. And the box was ancient. But Jonathan or “Nathan” knew about his likings and disliking. Seeing the box, he thought to himself, “Typical Jonathan. I mean, Nathan”. With that, he started to c***k the lock, which awaits him with an adventure of a lifetime. The box was very weary. It looked as if someone had bought the package to Mark through a hoard of tornadoes and cyclones. Anyhow, the box managed to survive. Inside the box was another box & a lock. The box looked completely strange as the box had no lock or a keyhole. The lock was familiar to him and he didn't gave much attention to it. Raining as usual. He still couldn't get over the trauma of losing his friend like that. And now he became part of something that he didn't want anyone to become a part of. And what a night it was. Stained with blood, it was a night not to be forgotten. And now, somehow he is asking him of meeting again. Either Wade has gone mad or Nathan has. Nevertheless, he now has a chance to meet him once again for the final time and say him all that he has to. He kept on thinking this until noon. And finally, he decided to take a shot at whatever it is Nathan is trying to make him do. With no chance of survival or return, it was his only shot & he bragged himself that he was the best detective in 30 countries. So, it should be easy enough to go and come back without a scratch.  But who knew about the anguish that he was to endure?
