“Who’s that man talking to Quinn?” I casually asked Caspian while I tapped a couple of beers. They’d been intensely conversing for ten minutes now and it didn’t look like a fun conversation. Caspian placed the beers on his tray. “I believe it’s her father.” “Father?” “Yes,” he replied before making his way onto the floor and leaving me to spectate the hushed argument. Even if I couldn’t make out what they were saying, it was clear they weren’t happy. I could recognise Quinn’s stink eye from a mile away. No, it wasn’t even that. The girl looked like she was about to burst into tears. What should I do? Did I leave them to it or should I interrupt? Was I entitled to do that? Sure, I was her boss, but this looked like something personal. Then again, there was something personal going on
