Olivia confused me. One moment, she was hard and unyielding like steel. The next, she was soft and vulnerable. Annoyingly enough, both were attractive in their own way. She was just… Something. I leaned back into the couch that came with my rented place, my arms folded behind my head as I replayed the memories of yesterday in my head. The disagreement, the frustration, the build up and the release. Everything between us was just pure tension. Earlier, before my dad had ruined the moment, our chemistry had been off the charts. That had to have been an almost kiss. At least, that was how it felt to me. If only she’d followed through. If I hadn’t chickened out… hadI wouldn’t next time. Even if she was my boss, even if she was much older, there was something here and I wanted to explore it.
