I woke up with a terrible headache and mouth that felt like someone threw up in it. Right, someone did throw up. Me. I groaned as I swung my feet down, finding wood instead of carpet. It took a moment to situate myself and realise I’d slept on my couch. Why hadn’t I made it to my bedroom? With my back twinging from the couch springs, I shuffled to the kitchen where I brewed myself a cup of tea. A strong cup of tea. I stared at my reflection in the microwave oven, grimacing at the dark bags living under my eyes. I looked like s**t. Nevermind my bedroom, how did I get home? A ray of sunlight assaulted my eyes and my head twinged. My hangover was bad, even though I hadn’t drank that much last night.
