I waited the entire Saturday with caged breath for the boss to show up. For Olivia. Would she hate me for seeing her so vulnerable? I hoped not. I dried a balloon glass and placed it back in the cupboard. After only a couple of days, I was getting the hang of the flow. Washing dishes and wrinkled hands were no longer a foreign thing. I was starting to memorise the prices of the various drinks and remembering the place of everything. I refilled my little bowl of beer nuts with the designated metal scooper and nibbled on a peanut.
