Chapter 21
Karen finally fell asleep, and woke up with an excited anticipation for Christmas Eve. Two weeks ago, it seemed all hope for a happy Christmas was gone. The anxiety grew even worse with Suzie’s accident. But, as so often happens, when things seem at their absolute worse, God finds a way to make things better. Karen decided she would not worry about how long Terry would be in her life, she would just enjoy every moment he was.
Terry awoke, not with the uncertainty of the day before, but with a sense of purpose. His only anxiety would be if he had waited too long, and stores would be closed in Galax. Why hadn’t he made his decision yesterday, so he could have done his shopping while he was there and the stores were open? He looked in the nightstand next to the bed and opened up
