My soul feels unaligned with my body , my heart is broken and torn into a million pieces . I mean how could she ? After everything we've been through together . I wish I would've listened to my uncle when he said to me , ALL GIRLS ARE THE SAME . All the 3 years I've spent with her have just gone down the drain . We've been dating since our varsity days , that's where we met , all the precious memories we created have gone down the drain . For what ? MONEY , MATERIALISTIC THINGS AND A LAVISH LIFESTYLE . Those were the words I said to my inner self after seeing my girlfriend , kissing and sitting on an old man's lap at the VIP section at CLUB VENUS . Judging by the old man's physical appearence , I think he was almost old enough to be the same age as my father . I bet you are lost in the mist , wondering how did we even get to this point ? . . . Well let's just take a trip down memory lane to the beginning of the story. 1 ๐•™๐• ๐•ฆ๐•ฃ ๐•–๐•’๐•ฃ๐•๐•š๐•–๐•ฃ Time : 16:34 pm . . I'm at CLUB VENUS , one of the biggest clubs in Johannesburg , well I'm here to ask for a job , anything that can bring motion to my life , even if I become a waiter , bartender or something . After a couple of minutes of begging Mr Ngwenya for a job. Mr Ngwenya : You're definitely in luck today because I am kinda short staffed so since we need an extra hand and you're already here , I'll give you a shot and I hope you won't mess things up for yourself. Me : I promise you , you won't regret hiring me at your establishment sir. Mr Ngwenya : Well I guess you're temporay hired , brace yourself because you're starting right away. Me : Right away ? Mr Ngwenya : Yes , You'll work as a waiter , I'll ask one of the waiters to teach you how we do things here and if you pass tonight's tasks , I'll draw up a contract for you tommorrow. Mr Ngwenya gave me a sealed box containing the uniform that I was gonna wear. Mr Ngwenya : I think that's definitely the perfect size for you. Me : Thank you so much sir , i promise you , you won't regret it . Mr Ngwenya : Don't thank me now , you are still yet to pass my trial. Anyway you seem like a smart boy why in the heck do you wanna work in a night club ? Me : 3 months ago , I graduated from varsity and finished my Medical laboratory science degree but I've been kinda struggling to get a job , so I decided to go for this temporary job while I'm still looking for a job under my proffession. My parents can be very controlling at times , my father to be specific , my father wants me to be part of the family bussiness(my family runs a Construction company , it's very legitimate but not the type of field I want to spend the rest of my life working in. I'm just more invested in science related stuff and besides I just wanna do my own thing , which is why I decided to rent my own flat and move out of my parent's house . I just wanna be independent and sitting down doing nothing won't pay the bills . Mr Ngwenya : Ok I hear you , u better go get dressed . I went to get dressed at the worker's locker room , luckily the uniform was my exact size . Mike , one of the waiters showed me the basics on what is required from me , in this field of work . 2 HOURS LATER " I think I'm getting the hang of this , this thing of being a waiter ofcourse . Not to brag , I'm a very fast learner so I'm always good at easily adapting to change. Mike : Hey bro , can you please come and help me at the VIP section . Please take this Double scotch whiskey to the VIP section at table number 02 . Me : sure thing. I did what I was instructed to do , but when I arrived at table number 02 . My evening just turned sour . I saw my long-time girlfriend ' Lindiwe ' sitting on an old man's lap , kissing him . I involuntary dropped the bottle of whiskey I was holding on the floor ( damn my boss is not going to be happy about that ) and I went on to confront her , she didn't even notice that I was present , while she was busy kissing that guy. Me : Lindiwe ! She turned back to look at me , her eyes were full of shock after seeing me and we immediately had an argument on the spot. Lindiwe : (stuttering) uhm , uhm , Lunga what are you doing here ? Me : (with an angry tone) Don't ask me what I'm doing here , don't you see the uniform I'm wearing. I'm the one who should be doing the questioning here. The old man(sugar daddy) : Lindiwe do you know this i***t ? Do you know lo skhotheni (low life scum bag) Me : Why Lindiwe ? How could you ? Lindiwe : look Lunga , You're a good guy but this relationship of ours is not going anywhere , you need to find someone on your level because the old Lindiwe you knew is no more , I have moved on with my life and you need to move on too , sorry Lunga , but it's over baby. Me : nje kanjalo ? (just like that ?) 3 years of my life gone down the drain , it's quite clear she never loved me in the first place. Bro I ain't the type that gets easily vulnerable , but my eyes kinda started to become teary , everyone at the club was starring at us , I was the most hilarious highlight of the night . I turned my back on Lindiwe and I ran away with embarrassment without uttering a single word . I left the club , walked back to my apartment , I was soaking wet with all the rain pouring down on me and I didn't even care. My heart was torn into pieces , how could she do me like that ? , If ndiyoze ndiphinde ndithande umntu ( I don't think I'll ever love again ). . . . hey , my name is Lunga Fikeni , I'm a 25 year old , tall dark skinned gent , a medical lab science graduate , I live in Johannesburg(South Africa) with my family , well I rent my own flat , I think I've already explained that part . I belong to the Xhosa tribe. I come from a financially stable family , mom is a teacher and dad is a businessman , I'm the one and only child at home . You'll get to know more about me as the story unfolds .
