Captivity of the Mighty ( deliverance from darkness)

Nnamdi held Chizaram in his warm arms, both of them lying together peacefully. “My reward,” he said softly, and she smiled, resting quietly in his arms. Something struck her mind as she tried to understand its meaning. He continued, his eyes calm and full of wisdom. “We talked about our children becoming captives for God.” “What’s that?” she asked curiously, searching his eyes. “I mean, guiding them to God’s ways so that their hearts remain faithful,” he explained. “It’s important for us to help them understand God’s path early in life. Children can become willing captives for God if we teach them with love and consistency.” She nodded, wanting to hear more. “I see… but how do we guide them properly?” He looked into her eyes and replied, “Just as I was once delivered from darkness by the Almighty, we can help our children grow in faith. God gives everyone free will, but with the right guidance, our children can learn to choose Him willingly. They can build a life rooted in prayer, obedience, and trust in God.” Chizaram listened intently, feeling a deep sense of purpose and hope for their family. Tell me, what did you mean when you said, together we shall make our children captives for God?” he asked her, and she adjusted herself properly to answer the question. “Well, like I said earlier before even talking about the children, I said something about me being made a captive of the Almighty, who was once a captive of the devil. When I got initiated into the underworld company, I was called a captive. A captive because they initiated me into it without seeking my consent. They didn’t care whether I liked the kind of life they were introducing me to or not — they forced me into it through hypnotism and other demonic influences. I had no mind or life of my own for as long as I was their captive. They chose where I go, where I live, whom I relate with, and practically everything. Everything about me was decided by them. Even when I wanted to do something good, they had the power to manipulate me into doing evil. When I later realized myself in their strange coven, I hated it and wanted to come out, but it wasn’t possible because I had become a captive. I had been captured and was under their control, so that I could not go where I wanted to go or decide what I wanted to do. Yeah, I understand the word ‘captive’ to mean ‘prisoner’ or ‘captured.’ Now, if the underworld company, which is under the control of Satan, could control my life like that — in such a way that it’s what they wanted me to do that I did — then it is very much possible for our children to become captives for God. The day the Almighty God, who is the highest power and authority, delivered me from their hold was the day I understood true freedom very much possible for our children to be captured also of God without their whether the devil or Him. But children can become willful captives. Because they have already gone so deep in many covenants and commitments with words and through our lifestyles, they will always find themselves inside God. It’s true that God does not force the human beings He created to follow Him, He gave everyone a free will and allows them choose for themselves whom to serve, hundreds of years after they have lived their lives and died? The Underworld are but small mighties, there are limits to what they can do under the heavens and sometimes even before carrying out an operation, they appeal to the Almighty who is unlimited in power for permission before they can tempt or afflict anybody who is connected to God as we saw in the case of Job and Peter who sought God’s permission before attacking them. Have you not noticed that the evil covenants some ancestors made with their gods which they included their children and children’s children still speaks and works on their offsprings even to the fourth generations after some seventies and I strongly believe that our children too can become captured by God in such a way that even if peradventure they want to go contrary to the ways of God and the teachings of the Scriptures unto godliness which we have been teaching them in permission to do only what God wants. If we can succeed in catching them young at this their tender age and persuade them to start making some willing covenant prayers and commitments to God seriously, I am very sure that when they grow up and leave to stay on their own without our surveillance they won’t be able to depart from the ways of God which they can’t resist. it’s how initiation is done too, occultist parents initiate their children to take after them in serving what they serve and most times their children become even greater than them in exploits; we can also initiate our children into God as Captives of the Almighty God bounded to live all the days of their lives in God doing only what pleases God and the best time to do so is not tomorrow but now. That’s what I meant by making our children captives for God.” Chizaram explained carefully then Nnamdi breathed down heavily a great sigh of relief. “You see, that’s why you’re my greatest reward from God. You complement my weaknesses with your strengths and see for me when I seem blind. These are my children and if they become negative influences in the society tomorrow, it’s my name that will be dragged to the mud and uhm… I would be so foolish to think that the devil will not come for my children, he will definitely for them and erm… that’s why I totally agreed with everything you have just said about us making our children captives for God. I have always dreamt of my children growing up to know and follow the Lord even more than myself but I have never taken it so seriously to work on them from this their tender age with extra commitment until this night. It’s been only you all these while, all I did was relax back and make excuses that you’re specially graced for the children's ministry but I have been wrong. By God’s grace, I have been leading them to do some deliberate lifelong covenant prayers but if we can both join hands in working on them, we're sure to raise a three man squad for God who will be so loyal and bounded to God to do great and mighty things for God more than we have ever done. I am so at peace with it because that’s the only way our children can be preserved in a world filled with many temptations and battles for the young. And the interesting thing about dedicating our children to God is this: when a child is held firmly in God’s hands, nothing can take that child away— not even the child’s own decisions. “Thank you, my reward,” Nnamdi said gently. “I will, from now onward, make out time to join you in ministering to our children. Maybe in the morning, we can sit down and properly plan how best to go about the mission.” Chizaram laughed as they continued talking, their conversation flowing with joy and playfulness between them.......
