Collision- Pt. 1

991 Words
The first week of school, after winter break went by like a tornado. The days at school grew longer, nevertheless, it was exciting with good grades, learning, friends, and cool new dishes at lunch flying in. ******************************************************************************         I sat up in bed on a breezy Saturday morning; remembering the evenings Tyler and I lied mesmerized at every inch of intimacy shared between ourselves. The freezing temperatures, yet warm hands and hearts embraced by the heat of the raging fiery furnace. Everything has hopefully returned back to how they were. I hope it stays that way.         The noise downstairs…was it, or am I just hearing things within my stream of consciousness? Either way, I was too consumed with my thoughts to develop the least bit of care for the outside world at the moment. Sooner than later, I recourse into a deep and tranquil sleep. Ah, too mesmerized.            Later that day, I was with my friends at the shopping mall. We had just finished shopping and now chilling at In N’ Out within the mall’s food court. I sat on top of the table while sipping cherry cola and chit-chatting about random stuff.            The slight chills of the wind broke through my sheer white top as I looked around at my friends. They all looked so happy and their skins glowed more than usual today, or I didn’t pay attention to it until now.   Lex: “OMG, did you hear that Brad is coming back to town?” “Oh yea, he kinda lives down the end of the Hills.” Angel: “So technically… *gasps* You two are- “Don’t say it.” Rhi: “That’s so cool, Jae. Talk about being lucky.” Mar: “Tots, girl. You have to invite him to your party.” “Oh, I don’t know, Mar.” Angel: “Come on Jae, it’s going to be the hottest party ever and he’ll boost our ratings for-“ “Offensive much, girl.” Lex: “We already have everyone hooked, buuuuut… if he comes, we’ll sure have the extra push            for ‘go-to party of the season’!” “That’s easy though, he’s related to Tyler.” Jazz: “Hi guys, who’s- *looks around at everyone in shock* “Helllooooo! Now you know about Brad, get over it, guys! Geez. I don’t get what’s the big hype.” I walked off leaving my friends to catch up.              As soon as we made it to the parking lot, the conversation climaxed once more. We were all waiting for my driver to take us to our spa appointment. Lex: “Jae, you’re so awesome!” “Thanks and you’re awe…hot sauce!             We all erupted into laughter while boarding the Range Rover. While we embarked on our journey, I looked through my socials and e-mails. They were a lot of requests from students around the area asking for invites to come to my party. Hence, I went through each of them and chose a couple of people. I’m not the type of person to choose only people from the ‘popular’ crew, rather I like to choose people who cool regardless of differences. Of course, there were particular people from Tyler’s team that were pretty well-known that I definitely have to send invites to. Nevertheless, I don’t like being prejudicial towards others because I believe everyone deserves equal experiences and opportunities.   “Ty told me that people from his school are asking for an invite. He said he only needs about twenty-five. You know how that goes.” Angel: “Great, all the model-like hotties will be in one room. *pretends to faint* Now, I have to               look beyond my best.” Mar: “I can’t believe some of the most popular are literally begging for invites. That does not happen to everyone. Jazz: “You better!  Jaedae is a natural social butterfly. She makes people fall head over heels for            her.” “Stop Jazz!” *we all giggle*          After the appointment, the girls came back to my house for lunch for a good while. At nightfall, they all left one by one with their designated drivers. Sometime after, Jaedane had come home from basketball. I didn’t bother him this time because he looked tired and grumpy more than usual. Hence, I resorted to calling Tyler, but he didn’t answer. ******************************************************************************           It was the Friday before my party and I had done all my homework and finished the projects that were due for the following week. After that, I basically spent the rest of the day in the pool while checking off the necessary items and other party related things that were in place already.   “Jae, Tyler is here to you!” My mom exclaimed over the intercom. I quickly got reached for my slides; rushing off into the house and I almost bumped into Jaedane, if it wasn’t for his quick reflexes. “Woah, wow sis. I’d appreciate it if you pipe down a bit.”     For once I took his advice and went into the living area to see Tyler waiting patiently with a glass of water in hand. He got up to meet me halfway and then gave me a tight hug. It is then that I remembered my appearance: damp swimsuit and water dripping off me. I quickly pulled away with a gasp. I chuckled faintly and he led us out to the back patio to talk privately.   “So… I’m sorry for not contacting you. I had to go with my dad to do business for a couple of days.” “It’s okay, Tybear. I’m just glad you’re okay.” I said softly while pecking his lips while he held me close to him. “Do you want me to hang out with you or...” “Sorry for interrupting. Tyler, would you like to stay for dinner? She questions while fully coming outside. “Sure, thanks, Mrs. Paris.”           After dinner, I went outside with Tyler for a while to talk some more. It was necessarily serious talk, just playful banter, and random topics that we'd talk about. It's most certainly been a while and now all our troubles are long behind us. Now, we're looking forward to the future. That's all that matters; the now. Nothing can stop our love and happiness now.
