The plush comforter felt extremely soft wrapped around me. As my eyes fluttered open, I saw Tal’s mouth lipping my name as he shook me in an attempt to wake me up. How cute? Anyway, it turns out he wanted me to get his cereal for him in the cupboard. I looked down to find myself in Ty’s bed, and his coconut-scented tee. My eyes widened in confusion, all the same, I pulled away from the covers and followed Tal down the stairs.
Afterward, I went into the guest bathroom to shower while having Tyler’s clothes washed. An hour and a half later, I was dressed in a full black velvet Adidas tracksuit with ankle socks; having absolutely nothing to do. Since Jaedane was coming for me early, I sat in their living room watching Riverdale while the sounds of laughter and competitive growls from Mr. Valesquez and his son’s basketball game outside.
Seeing as Jae was taking his sweet time playing basketball, I had cereal made by Mr. Val while awaiting his lovely presence to take me home. I mean, when he came he completely disregarded me and went to play, as usual, like the dog he is. Sooner or later their dad left for work and Tyler forced me to cuddle him with his skin bathed in sweat.
“Jae! Come on. You’re going to make late for my blind date.”
“Really Jaedane, I’m going to make you late?!”
“What’s the attitude for little one? You should be glad I offered to come to get you.”
“No worries, my birth-week is very soon. You’ll crash and burn once I get my cars.”
With that being said, I walked past the annoying brat and went outside to the car after giving Tyler a kiss. On my way out of Ty’s street, there was a motorcade of classic Ford and Porsche’s driving in the direction of their manor. Strange enough, they were all black and the windows heavily tinted. I’ve never seen any Valesques service cars like those. Well, who knows?

By the time mom was home, dinner was cooking and yet again I fell asleep with a Nancy Drew book spread across my face on the kitchen island. It was difficult for me to open my eyes; it seemed as if my sub-conscience wanted me to stay in the realm of my dreams. It’s the worst thing to have a battle between waking up and going through seemingly deep and endless sleep. The cold sweat on my skin stung my half-opened eyes and I could feel my limbs trying to c***k themselves back into place. Sadly, the void of pale and sharp-toothed people circled about my mind and at the end of this dark tunnel-like void, I could see myself following the call of a person I could barely see because of the green bright lighting illuminating blindly from their body. It’s hard for me to reach it due to the sharp, pointed claws pining and piercing at my skin.
TING! The sound of the baking oven drilled loudly in my ear and I shot up to see my mom turning it off and removing the cupcakes I made two hours ago. The radiant smell of dinner filled my nostrils and I now remembered I was starving. All the same, I knew I had to wait for the call from the chef. I got down from the stool and snacked on the hot wings and curly cheese fries my mom brought home. Seeing several calls from Tyler and my friends, I face timed as much of them as I could from my TV. Weirdly, Tyler didn’t answer. Twice, and then a third, was not a charm either. I guess he’s busy now.
As I was about to head back downstairs, my phone beeped. “Are you going to come to my game after-party?” Is what the text said from Tyler. My eyes popped, and oh crap, I’d forgotten all about that. Sigh, I couldn’t text back right away because it was dinner time and my dad was knocking on my door as well. I ran downstairs. Belle Jr., my chi Zhou, tackled me as soon as I stepped into the hallway leading to the kitchen. She looked happy, even more so, because she was at the vet all day. I played with her a little then sat her at her mini table to eat.
While at the dining table, I quickly ate some of my dinner and discussed with my parents about going to the football after-party on Saturday.

It was the first day of October and another day of school has just ended. What a relief! I stood by my locker. A baby pink dress with nude medium heel shoes cladded my body. I placed my books in my locker with headphones on while jamming to the beats of the current song. Suddenly, I felt hands snake around me as I read the text from my mom about the change of plans for dinner. My reflexes turned me around at a rapid pace until I saw Tyler. That took me by surprise. It was the fragrance beforehand that gave him away but I was too occupied to react immediately. Nevertheless, he engulfed me in a heartwarming and intense kiss.
“Tyler, what are you doing here?” *whispers loudly*
“I came for you baby.” He spoke sweetly while giving his billion-dollar smile.
Before I could respond, Ty took me by the hand and ran with me in the direction of the exit. Everyone gazed at us; wondering why we were in a rush; even Angel ran after me to ask but I gestured for her to call me later.
We sat in his car to catch our breaths for a minute. In the blink of an eye, the once comfortable silence broke out into a love-making scene. We went on for several minutes until we had to pull to get air once more. That, and the fact that my bum accidentally honked the steering wheel. Oh my, we were really astonished, however, we laughed it off; positioning ourselves in our respective seats and buckled up. Just some young, crazy, hormonal teens, nothing to see here!
I still can’t believe he drove all the way to my school just to get me for a spontaneous rendezvous. We promised the night we talked that we’d never see each other at either of our schools unless it’s necessary. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not like all the L.A. schools don’t know we’re back together; it’s just healthier not to throw our relationship wherever we go. Anyway, Tyler must have had a good reason to come for me.
His tall fingers tapped nervously on the steering wheel as we waited at the traffic light at the Hollywood Boulevard intersection. I pulled my phone out to see the alarming number of text messaged from my brother and other people from school. Hence, I quickly engaged in texting, but that didn’t stop me from seeing Ty’s on and off glances at me through my peripheral vision. Mhmm… I wonder where we are going.
