Chapter 32

1002 Words
His plan was not to cause an accident but he just wanted to scare her but realizing that the plan was not good enough, he saw the need to change his strategy if he wished to have a good job done and with no disappointments whatsoever. Putting up with the towel on the shelf, he wiped off his face beside dropping it carelessly on the bed. Evan was a very unkempt man and his room was a perfect example of a pig style. His house was for him alone and not knowing that Lisa was not going to be visiting him anytime soon, he felt that he could do whatever he wanted. Walking around the house and thinking back to what had come to pass, he sat down on his sofa, and without wasting time, he stood up again and led the way to the kitchen where he had to get some snacks and eat with a bottle of chilled beer. Gael was still in shock over what the lady had said and not knowing what to think of anymore, he wondered who could have wanted to kill Yvonne and it made no sense to him. Yes, he had not known her for a long time but knowing the kind of person she was, he could swear that despite the fact that she was a pain in the ass with her domineering attitude and also with all the stubbornness she possess in her, she is a very good woman. His heart was beating faster not knowing what to do, but thinking of something to do in order to ensure her safety, he came to the conclusion that Yvonne needed him at that point in her life and no matter what she was going to say to him, it was not going to be enough to send him away. Walking from the corridor to the ward where she was in, he pushed the door slowly, and going inside, he could see her on the bed laying down as though her life had been taken away from her. Gael had never been that scared for any other person before like he was scared to see Yvonne on the floor and knowing fully well that they were not on good terms, he still wanted to be closer to her and to make her feel that he is their fo make her happy and to protect her. His heart had unconsciously closed Yvonne and not wanting to let her go, he wished to tell her exactly how he feels about her but circumstances had not permitted him to voice out his feelings. Pulling the bowl that was beside him and sitting down on it, he looked at her closely with his hands reaching out to her on the bed, and though he was not sure whether she could hear him or not, Gael still wanted to say something to her. His voice made its way out of his mouth and holding her hand tight, he looked into her face before turning to the side to touch her face. She looked innocent and while he was seared there, he was dying to know where Tasha was about to tell him about Yvonne but had suddenly stopped for a minute to sip from her glass. She was a very beautiful young girl who was passing through something difficult but not being able to know what it is actually, made him want to find out about it. Yvonne felt the presence of someone right inside her sleep and opening her eyes slowly, she could feel that someone was holding her hand. Her whole body ached from the fall that she had gotten while he head was swollen. Not being able to recognize Gael as he sat down by her bed, his blurred eyes struggled to look at from the window which portrayed so much light inside the room. The glow was so hard that it made her want to pass out again from the ache that her head had. "Why am I?" a voice left her mouth as she rolled eyes all over the room that was painted in white. Holding her cranium with her which was having a drip on it, she wanted to get up but she was unable as someone or something pressing her and listening to someone soak out, Gael said, "Don't stress yourself too much, you need to have a lot of rest if you want to heal." The voice she was hearing was very familiar to that of someone that she knew and wanted to see clearer, she laid back and closed her eyes for some seconds before opening them back again. "Yes, she was seeing Gael and he was just right beside her. Catching a glimpse of him had drawn her back to what had happened that morning and recalling all that had happened, tears formed in her eyes and she raised a question, " You?" her voice filled the whole place. Gael felt scared thinking that she was going to be mad at him for running her down but seeing how her face had changed to a grateful one, he was confused after Yvonne broke out into uncontrollable tears. "Thanks for saving me Gael, I can never thank you enough," she muttered and by that time, he was already lost making an effort to figure out what she was talking about and why he was thanking him whereas he had run her over. Twisting His face as though it was going to give him an answer, he pleaded with her not to cry too much and not to gesticulate so much as well if not she was not going to get well rapidly but he could not help himself from thinking back to what the lady who had accompanied them to the hospital had said and realizing how complicated the situation was, he wanted to find out if what she said with what Yvonne was going to say will match up.
