The beating from the woman's heart as she touched the blood that was flowing from her head was something else and she could explode her ears and it was normal because she was scared for her friend whose head was bleeding and hoping that she does not suffer from a concussion, she was forced to stay at the hospital till she finally recovers fully.
"Drive faster please, I can't feel her pulse anymore," she spoke out in panic as she touched Yvonne's neck and did not seem to feel anything. Cole was busy on the road while he anticipated the closest hospital around but not knowing the city well as he lives in a province and rarely did his taxi job at that side of the city, he asked for the lady's help which she began to look out of the mirror.
Thinking back to seeing the signboard which they had just passed and recalling how she use to frequent that street with her dad whenever her mom will be at work, she told him to stop and reverse as they had just passed the entrance to a clinic.
Gael halted the car immediately as though he was waiting for her signal and not thinking whether there was any other car that was coming behind him, he initiated the reverse, and turning with an unknown speed, he drove in the direction of the hospital.
The indicators on the signboards helped him to locate his way faster and Louisa not being able to hold back her tears, cried continuously while praying that they reach the clinic soon enough.
They had entered the hospital and nurses had come out with a stretcher to fake her inside into award. Gael was breathing hard while the lady could not stop imagining how her sister had been in that same situation with no one to help them that horrible night.
It was as though Yvonne had caught a glimpse of something like this happening and before she could start telling Gael what she had observed, she had herself to examine every step of the incident that she saw because she was the person who was in a better spot in to say what had happened some minutes ago.
Gael felt so bad and could not explain what had happened as everything had come to pass faster than she could imagine. His heartbeat had raised from its normal level to a very confusing one when he had seen that, Yvonne was the one who was hit down by his car.
He did not know what to say it do in such as situation as his heartbeat had increased tremendously, leaving him in a state of shock as he looked scared.
"I am certain that she will not what to talk to me again after this and probably want to jail me," he muttered but another voice told him to calm down as he had done his best to avoid the situation.
It was not his fault, she had run into the road like a madwoman and he had tried his best to maintain his brakes before finally slowing down in front of her. The doctor had come out and Gael on seeing him ran towards him with a curiosity that could kill a cat.
Asking what was going on, the doctor told him to calm down as there was not much to be bothered about. Yvonne had just suffered a traumatizing incident that had led her to pass out but it was nothing too bad because she was going to be discharged right away.
He thanked the doctor and asked whether he could see her and the doctor nodded in acceptance, he gave him the go-ahead to see her for some minutes before she could be injected her last dosage of painkillers.
Thank goodness that she was fine and had no injuries or internal combustion. His heart was filled with joy after knowing that she was not in any form of danger and thanking the doctor again, he let out a smile before moving forward.
But before he could move two steps ahead, his attention was called out by the lady who had helped him out to bring Yvonne a the hospital, and turning back to look at her, he thought that she wanted to follow him into the ward to see how Yvonne was doing since she was a part in rescuing her but she had called his attention on something that made him stop for a while.
"I want to say something that I had seen before the accident took place, though I am not very certain about what I saw," she muttered maintaining eye contact with Gael.
"What is it ma'am, what did you see that you want to tell me?" he asked putting on a serious and concerned face. The lady that was standing beside Gael could already feel the heat in him and the lady not being able to hold herself anymore, told him that she thinks that the incident that happened was not an accident.
Gael's eyes had widened while his mouth was drawn backward. He could not believe what his ears were listening to and did not want to jump to conclusions since the lady was not sure of what she was saying.
"I saw a funny-looking man walking quickly behind Yvonne and she could tell that he was the one chasing her," she spoke out hitting her lips. His countenance had changed and while he listened to the lady narrate the story, he was very keen on every word that came out of her mouth.
She told him how she saw the man and he was dressed in black from head to toe, with the raven crest that he was putting on, she could barely make him out as everything about him was covered. Gael's fists were already tightened just from listening to her speak and wondering who could be the person responsible for Yvonne's catastrophe, his teeth grounded inside his mouth, leaving him with a bitter taste of vengeance.
Rushing into his house and peeking outside to make sure that no one was following him, Evan breathe in some fresh air as he walked into his bathroom to wash his face. He was sweating profusely and knowing that he had messed up, he wanted nothing but to make sure that he fixes the problem before Lisa gets to find out.
