Yvonne was very excited and she hung up the phone before Tasha could say anything more.
"How did she get such an image in her head?" she polled while keeping her stare on the road. The journey from the city to the province where Gael lives was a tedious one but it was for the better because she was opportune to meet someone as handsome as a demigod.
The thought of Marco was all over her head and she could not focus on anything else but his sift lips and sweet smile which made her heart beat a thousand times in just one second.
Everything was fine and the doctor came to tell them that, Mrs. Cruz just had her usual crisis and told them not to bother as she was going to be discharged immediately while some drugs will be received to her, Gael breath out some fresh air.
He was glad to know that, she was doing very fine and all she needed was some rest which she stubbornly always refuses. The evening was a disturbing one and all he wanted to do was to take his mother back home so that she could have rest and turning to his friend and appreciating his efforts, Gael hugged him tightly.
His mom was discharged and all they had to do was go back home and since Marco owned a garage, he had driven her there so they were going to head back home in it. His smile had broadened while looking at his mom, and seeing that she was doing just well.
Everywhere seems green and the mining dew could be seen on the grasses in the field. The birds made a lot of noise on the sly while all he wanted to do was to take care of his mom.
"Good morning mama," Gael spoke out, and placing a kiss on her forehead, he answered and Gael asked hostage what the most beautiful woman in the world was doing, he placed the plate of breakfast on the table while telling his mom to have some before taking her drugs.
They had bought everything the doctor had prescribed last night and she was supposed to take them now. His mom appreciated her efforts and trusted her son's cooking she had nothing to be worried about.
"Have you heard from Yvonne again?" she asked pulling herself out of the bed but Gaels lips glued together, he could not give her a negative response but at the same time, he did not know what to say so he said,
"I believe that she is doing fine."
His mom's eyes looked at him and asked why he had not called to check ok her, he was dumbfounded.
"My son, she is not like the girls you have known and yes, you have to make sure that you check on her because she might need help," she related but Gael thinking back to the insults that she had given to him, he felt cold feet to go back to Yvonne's place but his mother insisted.
Seeing her and being with her just for a short time, she could tell that she is a very nice person and was not like other girls though she was very wealthy. Catching a glimpse of the reluctance in her son's face, she had to trick him into going to meet Yvonne and telling him that she wanted her to come and visit her if not she was not going to be better, Gael opened his eyes and mouth as that was blackmail.
"Mom, are you blackmailing me?" he asked with his eyes opened and his mother looking at him and saying that he wants to see Yvonne, left him with a discounted face. Not wanting to be disobedient, he told her not to worry as he was already dressed up so he was going to pass by to check out how she's doing.
As soon as he said that, a smile was seen on his mother's face and he wanted to do was to maintain that smile on her face. Helping her take care and not to hesitate to call on him if she needs anything, he walked out of the house wondering why his mom was so attached to Yvonne.
Picking up the dirty dresses that she was to leave at the receptionist so that they will be taken to the dry cleaners, Yvonne's ankle was much better and feeling happy that morning, she said all over her room before going out of her apartment for the supermarket.
She wanted to buy some things for her kitchen and though she was not walking properly, she still managed to walk to the elevator and making her way into it, she pressed the numbers to her destination m
It was a good morning and everything seemed to be beautiful outside just from the view she had from her balcony. Yvonne had reached the reception and she handed over her plastic if dirty dresses to the receptionist which she left immediately for the supermarket which was just around her building. She saw no need to get her car and decided to walk a little as a way of stretching her legs.
Walking for a few distances, she noticed that someone was following her from behind but she could not tell who it was and why.
Noticing that the lesson kept on following her, she was struck by fear so she wanted to cross the road without paying attention to the cars that were coming and bumping into one, she was almost crushed which let her fall before the car could even meet her.
Gael had been driving at a normal speed heading to her house and being vigilant as always, he had noticed a lady run into the run without paying attention, and luckily for him that he had slowed his car before halting it, he could have crushed her.
The shock on his face when he came out and found out that it was Yvonne, made him have water on her eyes, and the moment she lifted her eyes and saw Gael, she said,
"You came back for me," and her eyes close up as she went unconscious. The lady that was standing by her when she had fallen, asked Gael whether he knew her and he said yes, so she asked him to carry her to the vehicle so that they could take her to the hospital rapidly.
Gael had carried Yvonne into the car with his dress stained with a little blood while the lady strived to open the car door for him to put her inside the car.
"Please be careful with her head," she let out and with her gaze meeting the suspicious man that she had seen following Yvonne, she thought that she didn't need to point out the fact that someone was following her.
"We have to go to the hospital now, she is losing so much blood," Gael spoke out to an officer that had rushed to the scene to see what was happening there that morning.
The speed that Gael was driving was something that he had never done and not being able to explain the connection that he was feeling with Yvonne, all he wanted to do was to save her because she was a human being and needed help.
"You are going to be fine Yvonne, just hang in there for me please," the lady cried out and her tears were dropping on Yvonne's face and she was reminded of what had happened to her younger sister when they were younger.
Yvonne opened her eyes slowly and it was as though we were in a trance because their voices were penetrating her head but she was feeling weak while her eyes could not see much.
