The gift giver

Aliah walked down the isle of graves.Today had been her aunts funeral and all she had wanted to do was cry,her aunt had Been her friend and basically her adoptive mother since the day of her parents death about fourteen years ago.when she found her aunts grave she Leaned over and pressed a flower to the grave stone,then she whispered I wish you were still here.Then suddenly glowing words started to form on the gravestone,and they read,if you have a wish say i wish and i repay.As aliah said the words these words a small trap door began to form under her feet she stepped back in surprise and gasped.When the glowing words stopped glowing and the door stopped forming she stepped a little closer to peer at it,in engraved in the wood we're the words,the gift giver. Curiously and skeptically she lifted the small door and saw there was dark stairs leading down down down.Aliah turned on her phone flashlight and desended into the gloom.Ahead of her to her surprise was a old cobblestone bridge,as she walked onto it she looked into the water below it and saw little black and silver fish swimming in it.Are you looking for me asked a gentle voice out of the mist.Aliah whipped around but all she saw was mist and cloud,her head was swimming she was choking on the mist.then the mist released its grip ion her and she hit the ground with a loud thump,as she scrambled to get up a hooded figure formed and emerged from the mist and stood before her Aliah tried to swallow her fear but this figure was at least two feet taller than her,she backed up a step and the figure pulled off its hood revealing a pretty middle aged woman with sharp teeth and brown hair also the weirdest thing about her(besides the sharp teeth)was that this thing was so pale she could have been a corpse.Hello said the corpse Like woman holding out a hand,would you like a wish.Aliah wiped her hand on her black funeral dress and shook the woman's hand suddenly blinded by greed and longing aliah said I want my aunt back now.Hold on girl or should I call you aliah,let me see what this would cost you.Aliah so astounded by the woman knowing her name did not hear that this would cost her something.Ok so this is going to cost you a branch from a holly ash tree and jar of water from the black sea.Thats it asked aliah is astonishment,Well none of these tings a particularly easy to get said the gift giver.Any way you have to get going on the quest so you can get your aunt back so here drink this as a farewell toast said the gift giver handing aliah a glass of sluggy green liquid,aliah threw a skeptical glance at the giver and took a tentative sip.Then the dust started to swirl around her and her eyes lost focus,the last thing she remembered was the givers brilliant blue gaze upon her then she fell into a deep sleep.Aliah woke up,she still had the nasty taste of the teleportation drink on her tongue.She looked around there was trees everywhere so she definitely did not wake up in the cemetery and as ifcto remind h was just as dusty and misty as in the givers lair.She pushed herself to her feet because the real adventure was just starting. It seemed like she had been walking forever when she stumbled upon what seemed like a ghost town.After settling in what was an old house she slumped onto an old mattress washed her face with water from a barrel.As she was dosing off sometime in the middle of the night she heard a crash,jerking awake she grabbed a wooden peg that had long ago been a chair leg.Then a person appeared in the doorway carrying a sack,then aliah remembered her phone,she snached it from her pocket and turned the flashlight setting on.Arrrgh!!My eyes.SIA!she asked incredulously is that you?Yep but unfortunately I'm am now the blind version of her now that you shined that freaking flashlight in my eyes.Im sorry,wait your not actually blind are you asked aliah.No I was just using my dry sense of humor to make you concerned.Oh well you sure did make me "concerned "said aliah.im glad I would hate to think you weren't worried.sia how did you even get here.um I followed you then went into the lair stole some potion drank it then POOF I'm here well after following you.I would have never guessed it was you,I honestly though you were going to kill me when you saw me,that is until I turned the flashlight on and saw it was you.yeah well I think that now we are both up we should start heading off to the black sea.how far is it.its about thirty miles from here nonstop and the short way.what do you mean the short way what's the long way sia.The long way Is through the forest of ash.then we should just go through there so I could get the holy ash branch I needed to get then we could get the water and head back then caboom we are done.i have my aunt back and you go home and we all live happily ever after the end.its not that simple said sia.whh should it not be.um because she did not give us any teleportation potion tou get back.mabey we don't need it.well mabey we do.i don't know can we please just get going and stop arguing it's pointless. fine let's just get going and hit the long way up.after what seemed like ten hours they hit a stream where they could drink and wash themselves.ok said sia all we have to do is follow this stream for about another two hours.ok where do we go fro- aliahs sentence was cut off as herd of cattle started to thunder through the forest towards them at an alarming rate.quick we won't be able to out rum them so we gave to climb a tree she said climbing up the slippery white bark of a birch tree,then putting her hand down to help sia up.then the cattle were under them thundering through the forest and swaying the thin spindly tree they were in then they were gone quick as they had come.The girls jumped down from the tree and set off following the stream again towards the ash forest.nothing had really happend in the half an hour following the cattle herd.Are we almost there yet asked aliah.no but be patient it's only a couple miles farther,also we are going a little slower so we can look out for danger yep let's go.Ok.And they walked into the ash forest.And it was true they really had just started their adventure.
