Krystal let out a howl as a sharp pain traveled through her back and her entire body. This pain was unlike any other pain she had ever felt in her entire life.
When she couldn’t withstand it any longer, she slumped to the ground, breathing heavily as her entire body. She tried to pull the spear out of her back but a baritone voice stopped her in her tracks.
“I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” The voice said and although Krystal’s vision swam, her head shot up in the direction of the voice.
A dismayed gasp escaped her lips as she saw that she had been surrounded by the intruders. About ten of them. They were masked, dressed in all black and were armed to the teeth.
Krystal ignored the one who spoke as she once again tried to remove the weapon which had been impaled in her back. A shrill scream escaped her lips as an intense pain shot through her entire body.
Why did it hurt so much? It was just a spear. She would usually be able to pull it out and her injury would close up in less than a millisecond. What the hell was going on?
“I told you it was a bad idea.” That voice drawled once again and a growl escaped Krystal’s lips as she spat blood at his feet.
“Who the hell are you? What do you want with me?” She spat, glaring at the masked man with ice cold fury despite the intense pain she felt while the other men pointed their spears at her.
From the absence of a spear in his hand, it meant that he threw it in her back. She scowled at him as a cold laugh escaped his lips, slightly muffled by the mask on his face.
“You’re asking the wrong questions, Alpha Queen,” He said in the last part in a mocking tone.
“You should be asking how I managed to kill your precious siblings and take you down so easily. The Bloodfangs are supposed to be the most powerful beings in the universe after all. But don’t worry queen,” He sneered. “I’ll tell you all about it,”
Krystal’s eyes fell on the rest of the men who surrounded her with their spears, looking ready to attack. Some of them had splotches of blood on their clothes. Her sibling’s blood.
Her wave passed through her insides and it wasn’t physical pain this time. It was emotional. Grief. She forced herself to look back at the masked man who was still speaking.
“Our weapons were laced with silver.” He continued and Krystal sneered, glaring daggers at him.
“Are you stupid? Silver isn’t enough to kill us, you retard,” She spat and coughed out blood in the process. Silver was a weakness for ordinary werewolves like them but not for a bloodfang.
“It would take more than silver to kill me, you idiot.” She spat and she could tell that the masked man was not at all pleased with her insults. She could smell the extreme ire radiating off him.
“This isn’t ordinary silver, queen,” He sneered. “This one has been designed specifically to kill Bloodfangs,” He said and she didn’t need to see the bastard’s face to know that he had a cruel smile on his face.
“Kill her!” He thundered and the other men wasted no time approaching her. Despite the excruciating pain and the huge spear in her back, Krystal jumped to her feet.
She was going to defend herself. She couldn’t die here today. “Come on! Fight me, cowards!” She yelled, completely aware that taunting them was unwise.
The men attacked at once. Krystal let out a grunt as she managed to land a clean punch in one of the men’s gut. Her punch sent him flying but that didn’t stop the men from attacking.
She managed to hold two of the men by the neck and slammed their heads against each other. They fell to the ground with a thud, growing unconsciously.
She was too distracted by the men in front of her that her attention had drifted from the ones behind her. A loud scream escaped her lips as they impaled another spear in her back. And another one.
She felt all the air leave her lungs as she fell to her knees. Her vision turned woozy and her breathing came out in gasps as blood trickled from her nose and mouth.
She could instantly tell that the spears were not ordinary weapons. They had probably been coated with the special silver the masked man spoke about earlier.
She had never felt so weak in her entire life but now she could barely even keep her eyes open. She was going to die. She just knew it.
But before she died, she would put up one last fight. She owed it to herself and her beloved siblings. She coughed out blood as she attempted to move but before she tried to, a few more spears were impaled in back.
That was enough to stop her in her tracks as her body went limp instantly. She felt her life force slowly leave her. Death was inevitable.
“Why are you doing this?” She managed to croak out and the masked down knelt in front of her, tilting her head upward to look at him. She had no strength to fight him.
“Monsters with powers of the gods like you shouldn’t exist.” He simply said and Krystal scoffed.
“You are the monster and you deserve to rot in hell. It doesn’t matter if I live or die. Someday, I’ll find you and murder you in cold blood just like you did to my siblings. I am Krystal Bloodfang and I always keep my promises.” She managed as the light slowly left her eyes.
The masked man scoffed before piercing a spear straight through her heart.
At that moment, Krystal Bloodfang died tragically on her knees with seven spears in her back and one in her heart.
