Zale was so used to Nova looking at him like he was a disgusting pest or vermin that it didn’t even bother him at this point.
She climbed out of the carriage with her nose scrunched up in the air like she smelled something bad, and the moment she was now on her feet, she let go of Zale’s finger at a speed faster than lightning.
One of the maids had come forward to collect her luggage and she looked at her with so much disdain in her eyes.
“If my luggage gets as little as a scratch, you will pay for it with your life.” Nova sneered, her blue eyes flashing with malice.
“Y-yes, Luna.” The maid stuttered, rushing over to get her bags and Zale felt the need to intervene although he knew he would regret it greatly.
“Isn’t that a bit too much, Nova. It’s just luggage after all.”
