Blood Transfusion

The five teenagers ran towards the enemies, and because they surprised them, Sakura's men had no time to transform or prepare for that sudden attack. Four people dropped dead on the ground with heavy thuds. Luckily, there were no witnesses outside the hospital because Sakura's men scared them away. "There are more inside." Iris said after they threw the bodies inside the SUV the enemies using. "We should lure them out, it will not be a good idea if we fight inside." Lexi turned behind her to see the doctors and nurses approaching the newly arrived transferee patients to give them immediate medical attention since the operation got interrupted. "Let's go." She leads the way inside the hospital and follows their friends towards the operating room. But before they reached the said room, there were men who stopped the medical staff to see who the newly arrived patients were. "Hey!" Lexi yelled to get their attention. One of the five men looked up and saw her. He didn't say anything but he pointed in the teenager's direction. "Are you guys looking for us? Then come and get us!" She shouted and quickly ran outside of the hospital. Chantelle waited for the five guys to run past her so she could approach the doctors and stay with them just to make sure everyone will be safe while they were getting operated on. "Please, continue the operation. Save our friends." She told them before the gurneys containing her friends get inside the operating room. "We will do our best." One of the doctors said and the nurse closed the door and told her to wait outside. Iris, Siena, Trevor and Lexi stood at the open field which was called a parking lot. They were surrounded by five men who were ready to attack them. "I'll take two, you guys take each one." Lexi said. "You are still as cocky as ever." Iris scoffed and rolled her eyes playfully. "I'm just more skilled than you and I'm trying to protect you." Lexi retorted and she faced two opponents while the other three faced each one. She stood in a fighting stance with her fists curved in tight balls. "What if they transform?" Siena asked whispery. "They won't, trust me. Sakura may be smart, but we're smarter than her." Lexi said and she heaved a deep breath before she charged forward towards the enemies. They know how to fight in a combat battle, they already killed a lot of monsters and these monsters in human form ain't exempt, they may still have the strength, but they are more easily to fight since they weren't a 9 footer creature. Lexi throw a right fist to one guy which knocked down instantly due to the hard blow, then she swung her left to hit the other one, but he dodged it successfully, then he made a counter attack by trying to grab Lexi's arm, the latter leaped off, then she spun around and did a crane kick, hitting the guy on his chin and he was thrown away. Lexi didn't waste her opportunity and she stomped on him on his face before she leapt off towards the other one who just recollected himself but just before he could stand up, Lexi used her knee to hit his face that surely breaks his skull. Trevor exchanging blows with his opponent, who could hit him once but he would return twice with hard punches on his deadliest body parts to hit like on his opponent's neck, side ribs near the liver— does he even have liver? Then when his opponent bent over to clutch his side, Trevor used that opportunity to hit him on the base of his neck which completely knocked him down then he started kicking him to his other body parts until the guy was not moving nor breathing. Siena and Iris keep helping each other. If Siena turned to face her opponent, she would hit her then she'll exchange with Iris' opponent and hit the other one, they kept doing that and never got hit since they were really both good in taekwondo, judo and other kinds of martial arts. Until they had to knock them down and twist their neck to make sure they won't be standing up any minute or forever. "That was a good fight." Lexi chuckled while sitting on top of her opponents. She watched her friends kill Sakura's men and it was so satisfying for her. Now she was wondering why they had to run at that moment when they encountered those monsters who pretended to be Trevor's parents. If they only killed them right away, her friends wouldn't be in a dangerous situation right now. "That was so easy, I didn't even sweat, so I therefore conclude that Sakura and his men should be scared of us instead of we get scared of them." Siena said cockily as she kicked one of the guy. "We should go back inside the hospital to check our friends." Trevor suggested. "Right, but we can't let those people see these monsters." "Let's dump them then." Siena pointed at the lake at the very far end of the parking lot behind the fences. Lexi nodded her head as she stood up and they started carrying and dragging the dead bodies towards the lake and dumped them before they walked back to the hospital. It was really fortunate for them since there was no people around the hallway after Sakura's men scared them away and they had to stay in every room to be safe. So the teenagers didn't have to sneak inside and hide their faces. "Hey." Lexi called the girl sitting at the metal bench in front of the operating room. "Is there any update?" She asked. "Nothing, how about Sakura's men?" "We beat them all, don't worry." Siena was still cocky about it and she was even proud how she defeated her opponent without getting hit. That made Chantelle laugh and somehow feel better while waiting for the doctors to update them about their friends' condition inside. "My mom called and she told me that Sakura left the hospital." Chantelle said when they all fell in silence afterwards. "I'm glad they're safe." Lexi smiled softly as she squeezed Chantelle's hand. Even if the latter hated her parents that much, she still cared for them, especially to her mom. "She also told me that we can stay in our other house behind this hospital till everyone get better." "That's good to hear, but don't you think Sakura won't find us there?" Iris asked, it's not easy to hide from Sakura, it's as if she could smell the teenagers' scent whenever they would go or hide. "Why is she running after us anyway? I mean, Herlie was not with us anymore." Siena sneered like Sakura was just standing in front of her. "She's so dumb and annoying." "She didn't even know that, she still thinks that we have Herlie." Lexi frowned as she sat lazily down and leaned back to the metal bench. "I was thinking of telling her that we don't have her sister anymore." "So you're going to face her?" Trevor asked. "But you said that she would never believe any of us?" "You're right, so we need to find Herlie and bring her back to Sakura so she will stop hunting us—." Siena stopped when the door behind her swung open and two nurses came out and rushed through the hallway without even looking at them. "What's going on?" Lexi asked worriedly and she tried to go inside the operating room but another nurse appeared in front of them and stopped them from entering. "What's going on?! Why did those nurses look so worried?!" "We just need bags of blood for one of the patients, it's nothing serious." The nurse explained. "Who? Who among them?" Chantelle asked but the nurse didn't answer her question which made her more worried. "Please, tell us. How's our friends?!" "Please, calm down. The doctors are doing their best as they can, so please just wait until the operation is finished." The nurse said and she immediately closed the door before anyone could react. The two nurses earlier came back with a worried face and instead of going back inside the operating room, they stopped in front of the teenagers. "Is there anyone here who has a positive A blood type?" One of them asked. Lexi froze because she knew who was the patient who needed that kind of blood type and looked at Trevor. "Him." She pointed at Trevor. "Are you willing to donate your blood for one of the patients?" "What? Why?" Trevor asked confusedly. "Don't you have spare bags of blood?" Siena asked ridiculously since they were in a hospital where they are required to have stocks of blood just in case they would need it for some patients. "We ran out of the stored blood bag. So please, it's for your friend." "Fine." Trevor hissed, it's not like he didn't want to give his blood, but the fact that the hospital doesn't have the blood they needed and may put their friends into a more dangerous situation pissed him off. "We're going to conduct some tests to see if you're qualified—." "Just take my blood and give it to Jisu!" Trevor scowled. Chantelle's eyes widened when she heard Jisu's name and she snapped her head to Lexi, like she was asking if it's true. Lexi nodded her head slowly to answer the unspoken question. "Her blood type is A and so is Trevor." "Y-you mean her life is in danger?" The tears automatically rolls down on her face as soon as she realized that Jisu is in the verge of dying and if Trevor ain't qualified to donate his blood, they will need to find another donator or will get from the other hospitals, which may take more time and Jisu has a high chance of dying while waiting for blood to be transfused. "Please, let's not waste more time. Just take me inside that damn room and transfer my blood to Jisu directly." Trevor said. "Is that even possible?" Siena asked. "Yes, they will do a blood transfusion." Iris replied to her question. "Okay, let's do that then. We'll inform the doctor." The nurse said and they led Trevor inside the operating room. But little did they know, Trevor's immune system is going down and it was dangerous for him to donate blood as he loses lots of blood from a recent fight with the monsters back at the forest. __________
