Let's Just Hope So.

It was so terrifying. The blood scattered all throughout the van, the sound of grunting in agony, the cries of the teenagers who's in total pain. Broken bones, wounds and bruises all over their bodies, metals and glass pierced onto their skins and all of the possible things that would happen to you when you're inside a vehicle that got into an horrific accident. "J-Jazen." Lexi could only cry while trying to reach Jazen, until her hand dropped as well as her tears before she passed out. All of them passed out except for one. No cars or anyone passing by in that specific spot of the accident, it looks like the road ahead was blocked so vehicles will take another route. The monsters stopped running after them after they saw the camper van was already in a wreck and there's no sign of life inside, so they left to report the incident to Sakura. "f**k, f**k, f**k!" Denver hissed while trying to lift up the thing that's on top of his numb leg. "Lex, are you okay? Lex, please, help me to remove this shit." He called but no response from the latter. He looked around again, but no one was moving. "s**t! We're not going to die like this, guys." He mumbled to himself while his tears started to roll down on his face. The front of the camper van was severely destroyed and no signs of Blake, who's driving by the time before the trailer truck hit them and ran away as quickly as they could. "Ugh.." Denver snapped his head to his side when he heard a soft groan, then saw Chantelle starting to regain her consciousness. "Chan, are you okay? Chan, wake up." Chantelle slowly opened her eyes, then blinked three times to adjust her vision since she could feel a severe pain in her head and it affected her vision. "W-what happened?" She asked when she was completely awake and sees everyone lying and unconscious. "We got into an accident. Here, help me so we can check everyone." Denver said. Chantelle turned to him and nodded her head, but before she stood up, she checked her body first if she had any wounds or broken bones, but luckily, she was safe and only had a few cuts on her forehead after hitting the window. She grabbed anything she could hold onto and pulled herself up. "Don't move, I will lift it." She said as she put her hands under the fridge and counted to three before lifting it up with all her strength. But as soon as she saw Denver's leg, she gasped and immediately looked away. "Damn, your leg!" "Oh God." Denver mumbled and he felt like passing out when he saw the broken bone of his leg was out of his skin, it looked like a twig snapped in two. He exhaled shakily and tried to move but Chantelle stopped him. "Don't move." She ordered firmly with her hand on Denver's shoulder. "Please, it will make it worse if you try to move." "But how will I know if everyone is okay?" Denver asked, holding back his tears, not because he's worried about the others, but because he knew that if he wasn't gonna make it to the hospital, then he'd die, due to losing too much blood and because he got a broken bone in his leg. He didn't want to die, yet. Because he wanted to take revenge for his brother before he died. But that would be hard to reach now, especially if he's in a situation where death is more possible than getting his revenge. "I'll check into them." Chantelle said as she stroked Denver's face gently with a soft smile on her lips. "Please, hold on. I'll also get some help." She added before she stood up and she first approached Jisu, who had a piece of metal pierced on her stomach, still breathing but barely. She bent down on her knees and tapped the girl's cheek lightly. "Hey.." Jisu opened her eyes and she pulled a soft smile. "Hey.." "Don't move, okay? I will call for help." "How c-can I though? This thing nailed me on the floor. Unfortunately, the piece of metal weren't only in Jisu's stomach, it was also penetrated behind her until the floor. Chantelle wiped her tears immediately and smiled through her trembling lips. Then she stood up and approached Lexi. "Lex, wake up. Everyone needs help." Lexi didn't respond so Chantelle moved to Iris, who's starting to gain consciousness. "Iris, wake up. Please, I need help!" She cried. Iris slowly opened her eyes, then she sat up, weakly but still managed to do it. She got some deep cuts to her bodies and face, but that's not really bad compared to Denver and Jisu. When she was completely awake, she immediately searched for Siena. "Siena!" She called, but the girl was not responding, nor moving. She was about to stand up when she saw Denver in her peripheral vision and she gasped. "What the hell?!" "H-hi." Denver laughed dryly with a wafe of his hand. "Your leg—." "I know, but don't worry about it. Can you please check Blake?" He pointed at the front of the van. Chantelle and Iris looked at it and they both were shocked to see how destroyed it was. "Please?" Iris looked back to Denver and nodded her head slowly before she stood up with Chantelle's help. She walked towards the front cripplingly, holding onto something to support her weak body, until she reached the driver's side and felt a bit of relief to see Blake looking up to her but without any emotion in his eyes. "Are you okay?" She asked and put her hand on Blake's shoulder but she froze when Blake's head fell to the side and gave her an access to see the guy's horrible situation. His body was almost splitting into two as he was stuck in between the wrecked dashboard. "H-How's everyone?" He still managed to asked. "Dude, a-are you okay?" Iris asked back. "A-are you being s-sarcastic right now?" He laughed and blood spit out from his mouth. "Just shut up okay? We will call some help." "Y-you can't. We can't go to the hospital or ask anyone for help because they might find out we're all still alive." "Bro, you're dying. What's the difference if they caught us? At least we could try to find help with good people—." "I already called my parents." Chantelle said from the back. She used the telephone she stole from her father as well. "Please just hold on." Iris and Blake both smiled at that, they know how much pride she swallowed to ask for help to her parents who she turned her back to just last night and now asking for their help to save her friends. "We'll be fine, Blake. Help is coming." Iris said to the guy with a warm smile, a rare situation that Iris would smile at him. Blake just returned the smile and leaned his head back and close his eyes. Iris walked back to Chantelle and they both carried Jazen to the bed before they started waking up Lexi, Trevor and Siena. They were all having serious injuries but the worst cases are Jisu, Blake and Denver, who already lost consciousness. "Jisu, please don't close your eyes." Lexi cried while holding Jisu's hand tightly. Jisu just smiled, she couldn't utter any words anymore as she was continuously spitting out blood and she felt so weak. "Let's just all wait, everyone will be fine. I promise." Chantelle said, though she's unsure, but she's being optimistic that even if her father is mad at her, he still won't let her daughter die just like that, they are still blood related, she's still his daughter no matter what happens. After 10 to 15 minutes, they could hear ambulance sirens from afar. They all looked at each other and thought the same in their heads. "Will it be fine?" Iris asked worriedly. "You guys should hide." Lexi said without looking at them. "Why? We have to make sure that they will be fine." Siena laughed dryly, she's confused as to why Lexi telling them to hide wherein their friends are all in danger. "Look, if they see us. They will have to bring us to the hospital, then people in the government will find out that we are still alive, so there will be no guarantee that they would let us off easily, so please, save yourself and hide, run away from this country and live peacefully." "Lex, we cannot just abandon all of you here. We are all in this situation and we're going to survive this together." Trevor said, but Lexi shook her head in disapproval. "I won't let you be in danger again, Trev. So please, leave us alone and save yourself!" "Shut up, Lex. We are not going to leave you here." Iris growled at her and by the time Lexi was about to turn around, the ambulance arrived on their spot, then medical staff and some rescuers started approaching them. "Chantelle! Oh my God, are you okay honey?!" Chandra cupped her daughter's face after the responder managed to get some teenagers out who were not seriously injured in the accident. "I'm fine, mom. Thank you for helping us." "Are you sure? Oh god, you got a cut on your head!" Chandra exclaimed and she immediately dragged her daughter to the side and opened her bag to take out some tools to treat Chantelle's wounds while the others were already giving medical attention, especially those ones who's severely injured. "Mom." Chantelle called her mother's attention. "Hmm?" "Are these people going to surrender us to—." "No." Chandra immediately cut off her daughter. "Your dad sent these people to help your friends as you requested, they were all working in his hospitals and those responders are working in our town. And your dad told them to keep their mouth shut or they will lose their job." Chantelle bit her lower lip to stop herself from crying, she felt so overwhelmed and a big relief to know that they were all still safe. "Ma'am, we need you in three of the patients." The nurse said as she approached the doctor, which is Chandra. "What's the case?" Chandra asked, putting the bandage to Chantelle's head. "One was punctured by a piece of metal and it penetrated her stomach. We already got her out and already inside the ambulance doing the first aid, while the other one is in more severe case, his body was almost split in half by the dashboard due to the hard impact of the collision and the last patient lost huge amount of blood because of his open fracture on his right leg and we are starting to lose them." Chandra heaved a deep breath and exhaled while nodding her head. "Call my husband and tell him that I'll be needing three surgeons and two orthopaedic surgeons ASAP." "Yes, Doc." The nurse said before running back to the ambulance service and doing what she was told. "Honey, I want you and your friends to get into the ambulance to come with us, don't worry. You and your friends will be safe." Chandra said. "Mom, will they be fine?" Chantelle asked as she grabbed her mother's shirt. Chandra looked over her shoulder with a smile. "Let's just hope so." She said and ran towards the ambulance. __________
