Bri sighed “Sorry I should of told him not to what even happened with Emma?” she asked Sabrina sighed, looking out the window as the school grounds around them slowly turned into the city streets. “I punched her then opened the door and got out of there” she said softly “She killed Matt, Bri” Sabrina rationalized like what she had done, killing another human being was okay to do all because Emma had taken a few lives beforehand. Bri nodded “She got what she deserved “she said turning back to face the front of the car. The trip was silent for a while and uneventful till Kyle came too. He pulled himself into the back seat with Sabrina mumbling a sorry. Sabrina just stayed silent as the car slowly pulled to a stop. Sabrina looked up and around “ Why are we stopping?” she asked at first not realizing where they were then she recognized the gas station, she always stopped at for gas it looked like nothing had happened here yet but the fact that there was no one around was ominous to say the least. " We need gas Brina,” Jason said causing Sabrina to curse under her breath “ Of course we do,” She said “Who wants to fill up? And who wants to go inside to turn on the pump and grab what we can?” she asked Kyle looked as if he was about to puke. “You're not being serious are you?” he asked “Oh man up “ Bri said sounding annoyed “You two boys handle the pump while Sabrina and I go inside and get some things, “ She said “Your such a p***y” Sabrina said to Kyle as she grabbed a few bags from the trunk and two ice scrapers. She handed one to Kyle and the other to Bri. “ Use this to defend yourself and Jason while we are inside,” she said to Kyle before walking away from the dude before she really laid into him. He was so useless, how did he even make it this far? She wondered. She walked slowly inside the little gas station with Bri. They looked around for danger before Bri turned on the pumps. The two worked in silence as they filled the bags with water, food, candy, chips, and toiletries. They even loaded up on a few lighters, matches, and some fire starter kits. The girls walked back out to the car slowly. The boys looked nervous but there was no danger around them. The two put the bags in the trunk area and took up the back seat. “So how did the pumping gas go?” Sabrina asked as both Jason and Kyle got back into the car. “Good sorry I was scared earlier,” Kyle said “Your fine it happens to all of us.” Sabrina said Feeling the car start to move as Jason drove. “So your house first right kyle?” she asked him trying to make conversation. Her eyes flicked to the clock noticing it was roughly three pm. They would need to find a place to sleep tonight. The lake house was a good ten hours away.
