When we stepped inside, we were met by the Alpha and several of his trusted officials. They turned, surprised to see us again.
“I thought you two were leaving?” Elysia’s father asked, his gaze landing on Ruby and Jayla.
“To shorten the long story,” I began firmly, “I stopped them. We talked, and I’ve decided to go with them. I need to find the truth.”
The Alpha’s eyes narrowed. “So, you’re leaving my daughter behind?”
I met his gaze with all the courage I had. “Sir, believe me—I didn’t want to. But when I tried to weigh everything, I realized something. I need to be whole first. I can’t make life-altering decisions while missing pieces of myself. I am truly sorry. And thank you. For everything.”
