Chapter 12

Zoe’s POV

Today its Saturday and the day of the infamous house party that I can’t wait to go to . This would be my first house party to attend so I want to make it memorable. Nathan and I have been steadily communicating since Wednesday. He said he needed some courage to text me that's why he couldn't text me on Tuesday when I had given him my number. I kind of like how open and honest people from this town are, I mean he didn't have to tell me that but he did. It's such a bummer I don't think Nathan is interested in me romantically and may have just invited me to his party as a friendly gesture. I'm only speculating here. I mean if he was interested in anything more wouldn't he have made it known already, well at least to me. Judging from what I've heard about him, he is usually straight forward and goes for whomever he wants so I guess he is also one for my friends collection I keep making. At least I'm making friends I guess that's a plus. Our main charts revolve around the house party which would be held at his friend Hunter's house since his parents won't be home for the weekend. Apparently permission was given so I'll trust his word. There is no theme to the party which I also appreciate. I have asked my mom if I could go and she was excited for me. Her only reservation was that I shouldn’t drink if there is alcohol not like I was planning to anyway. Yesterday was a rather short day for me as it was a Friday and there was a game of football later at school which I couldn’t attending of course since I had shopping with Kate that afternoon. I'm not one with sport or anything that requires perfectly functional feet since I don’t have such. I normally would trip over anything and everything. I'm that clumsy. I didn't have my car again yesterday so had to be driving with Kate in her car on to the mall as we had planned this that way. Kate was stoked about this party as much as I was I mean girl was literally fanning out on me which was a site to see and it also elevated my excitement for the party. She had previously been to a number of house parties, It's not even her first time attending the “royal squad's” house party, but this would be the first party she went to with a girl friend and for her that's exciting I guess. “Zoe we get to play dress up all day at the mall without dumb head Mathew complaining. I mean I get to try out things for hours with you” She gushes out. Man she is giddy and its infectious. This girl is a ball of energy and I love her for it there is never a dull moment with her. We spent hours shopping not that I minded, I got to have girl time with my friend. I know I shouldn't compare but I had more fun than I ever did when me and Lisa went shopping back in Kingsley. This didn't feel forced and I wasn't looking around waiting for my bullies to show up and taunt me. Instead I was present and in the moment loving every bit of it. When I say we shopped till we dropped I wasn't lying and my bank account felt it the most. We spent almost 100 grand between us two. Yes it wasn't only for the party, whilst shopping I realise I needed some other things like new dresses for school and all that sort so I bought some and Kate did too. At the end I felt like going risqué for this house party so I settled on a nude coloured crop blazer that I was going to pair with a matching asymmetrical hem skot (pant and skirt all in one clothe item) which was short. I also took a pair of clear chunky heeled strappy sandals which looked divine. My crop blazer had a gold coloured lock mechanism over my breast which means it will stay in place as I wasn't planning on wearing any bra underneath. My outfit left Kate awe struck she literally couldn't say nothing for a smart mouth she looked really damn opening and closing her mouth like a fish. I knew then if that was her reaction Nathan was probably going to fall over him self so thus confirming this as my outfit for the party. Kate's outfit was similarly mouth dropping. The way she looked had my n*****s going hard no cap. I was turned on seeing her in a black off-the-shoulder cropped top that had straps at the end paired with spit thigh bodycon skirt with black square toe fish mouth sandals that has feathers on the front strap. Damn Mathew was going to die and the sky smirk told me that was the intention. We were getting ready at my house in my room as it closer to Hunter's villa, of course Kate knows the way. I had my hair pulled into a messy ban leaving two curled strands hanging over my forehead, while Kate’s head was adorned by beach waves. Leaving the house we are so late the party has already started an hour ago. Smart pants Kate says we are fashionably late and we look darn good so what if were late. Today Kate is driving my car because she plans to go with Mathew after the party understandably I'm going to have to drive myself home bummer. We are going to meet both Mathew and Ted there since they are driving together they live relatively close to each other and are family so Ted is going to drive them home first. Getting there I see Ted's car and both him and Mathew are outside chatting. There is a fleet of cars around this party is huge. We get out Kate taking her clutch bag with her putting my car key in it since I don’t have a bag with me, I'm tomboy like that. I just have my phone in my hand. Mathew feels Kate before he sees her causing him to turn around as their backs were facing us. I always loved when I saw this happen with them and it never sees to amaze me that they love each other so much they can practically feel each others presents without having to see each other. I love this I really love it. Mathew freezes when his eyes fall on Kate. I see his face transform from that of shock, to awe, to love then to lust all in a space of seconds. Damn this man loves this girl. I see him open his arms for her to run to and run she did in those heels she ran into her man's waiting embrace. I just watch feeling as giddy as Ted who is also watching I can’t really hear what they're saying because I'm outside earshot. But I know it's all love. I move closer “Aren’t you looking like a snack today trying to impress I see" Tacky Ted says to me and I can’t help but smirk. I mean the mandate is that simple; I’m just here to impress Nathan. Asshole Ted is dressed in a short sleeve polo shirt showing off his tattoo sleeve on his right arm paired long casual pants cutting off at the ankles both in royal blue his shoes are Versace black sneakers. He's hair is messy giving that bad boy who doesn't give a f**k type of vipe that he wears so well. “You look tasty yourself bae” I say pulling him for a hug “oh I aim to please” he resort back. I look over at the kissing couple who can’t seem to get enough of each other. Mathew is dazzling in black as he is dressed in a loose short sleeve button up lapel shirt with drawstring pants and black Gucci shoes. He has similar tribal tattoo on his arm. He’s giving laid back sexy as hell vipes that he pulls off so well. The colour coordination has something to do with Kate I just know it. “Let's join in” Ted pulls me towards the entrance. The door is opened, the music is loud and I see people every. Once in we are greeted by the host Hunter, he looks so chilled dressed in designer jeans with no shirt on, his chest is on display and I can’t help but drool. Man this guy is hot. Really what's with this town and hot man? He looks really cool and he’s not even trying. “Welcome everybody to the party of the year” Hunter declares. “Thanks Hunter” I hear Ted say his voice is a bit to pitchy I wonder what's that about anyway we step into the party. The party is in full swing and it's a vipe and half. “We're going to head to the kitchen to get something to drink” Mathew says . “Nothing alcoholic for me please” I call out as they make their was leaving me with a giddy looking Kate. I look around the party everyone is talking and having fun. This is what I've been missing. I realised I've been denying myself joy and I would never again.
