Chapter 13

Nate's POV

Earlier today I ordered pizza to be delivered at Hunters place around 5:30 since the party is starting at 5. After picking up the alcohol from the store using a fake ID i went to drop it off at Hunters. Helping him set up in the kitchen by placing plastic cups on the counter along with paper plates for the pizza. Hunter prepared the bunch and poured it in a water dispensing container so that everyone can help themselves. One of his cousin is going to pose as our DJ like usual and his corner is already set up. I leave Hunter to go back home take a shower and change into the outfit for the day. For the party I'm wearing a pair of black splash ink print ripped skinny jeans with a black drop shoulder t-s**t. I'm wearing my hair wet again today. My shoes are Versace. I have a platinum chain necklace on my neck over my shirt. Today I plan on making a move on my girl. I've been waiting the whole week and I don’t think I have it in me to continue waiting. I know I have to trade carefully and not mess everything up risking another man taking her from me. I finally reach Hunter's house finding a parking spot, it seems the people are already here including Alex and Andy seeing his car is here also. Walking in I greet some of the people I encountered on my way to the kitchen to get some water. Grabbing the bottled water I head upstairs to Hunter's room and find him there in nothing but a pair of jeans. "Is that what you're wearing?" I asked the d**k head looking all smug at me like the i***t he is. "Yes you like?" he asks giving me a 360 twirl as if I needed one. "No asshole" I simply put taking a chunk of water moving to sit on his bed. "Well I'm going downstairs to meet my guest after all it's my party and I'm a damn good host" He says making his way to the door not before he turns around giving me a stern warning "Don’t let anyone into my room" closing the door shut behind him. I shake my head at the i***t. I mean I understand house parties can get a little out of hand sometimes. I also wouldn't want anyone I didn't know shagging on my bed. The room is quiet opposite to what's going on downstairs giving me a moment to gather my thoughts about the night ahead. I'm quite nervous I know today is a big day for me. Don’t t get me wrong I've been with handful of girls and normally I don’t have to try so hard. This one is different, Zoe is different and I badly want to be with her. Earlier I had asked hunter to let me know when she arrives if I don’t see her first myself. Part of the reason why I'm isolating myself in Hunter's room is because I don’t want the other girls all over me as that would send a wrong message to Zoe. I simply don’t want any disturbance to our meeting today. Hence I haven't even started drinking yet. This girl has got me f****d up big time. I cant stop looking at my watch as I've heard nothing from Hunter as yet. The party started almost an hour ago already but my girl hasn't made her appearance making me nervous. Thousands questions run through my mind but the most prominent is maybe she's not coming and the fact that i also haven't seen her friends around when I came in earlier doesn’t help. Look I understand me and the group she hangs around are not really friends but the least they can do is show up when invited if not just let me know prior that they were not coming I mean it's not that hard, just common decency. "Aghh" throwing the pillow across the room, I'm honestly getting bored and tired of waiting around Hunter's room so I decide to head downstairs to grab some pizza. Pulling out of Hunter's room headed down whilst checking my girls' i********: maybe she posted something hinting she is coming or not. You know girls love talking about their days or snapping some pics and s**t. But nothing, my girl posted nothing well she does kind of look like those girls who are not self absorbed though. Putting my phone back in my pocket as I descend the stairs taking in the sea of party goes my eyes land on her....well what do you know my girl is her after all. I stop walking focusing on her as she her walk in with her friends. For a second I see only her as the world around me disappears and she becomes my centre piece. She is all bright and light just like her spirit. My eyes are fixated on her they are drinking her up from head to toes, I'm in a dream showered by her beautiful face and body. My body is on fire looking around her bust as I see its fold. What I would give to unbutton that ledge holding her top together of course I would do that privately I wouldn't want any other men's eyes on my girl. This girl is a stunner. Her legs are out to play today and boy do I want to play with them. I imagine my hands lightly going up and down leaving Goosebumps as they trail. I find myself day dreaming as I stand leaning on the rails watching her step into the house, looking around taking in the scenery of the party. She hasn't looked my way yet and I'm glad. I just want to stalk for a little while longer. I don’t even mind that Ted has her attention as always. I continue to watch as Ted and Mathew move towards the kitchen leaving her I take that as my sign to make my move. Rushing through the last stairs I approach. “Afternoon ladies” I greet making sure my voice is soft and light. I wouldn't want to make this awkward. “Hey Harris” I hear Kate responds as my mind and eyes are on my girl who showers me with the greatest smile I have ever see. Like Ted I've known Kate since we were young, when we got to high school we all kind of regrouped ourselves. There is no love lost just we are all different people and don't mind each other. “Hey Nathan” Zoe finally says still keeping her eyes fixed on me as I am on her. There is this undisputed current floating between us it's so strong I can literally touch it and I think she feels it to. “Here we go, bae” Ted says bringing me out of my fantasy land, clearing my throat I move making way for him to hand her a bottle of soda. "Thanks" she says her voice soft and velvet. "Thanks for inviting us the party is lit" Mathew gestures to me. “It's my pleasure, hope you guys enjoy the party....”I wanted to continue to ask if I could speak to Zoe for a second however I'm interrupted by Alex calling after all I haven't seen them since coming here. Please excuse me I say making my way to Alex and Andy. Hey bud Andy greet cheerfully. “Hey guys” I greet back. We get taking about the turnout of this party and how Alex Hope's to get really wasted. You know the normal teen party talk. My eyes keep wandering back to the girl dressed in nude who is now seated on the couch talking a storm with her friends I really want to get her alone but standing here I realise that might not be possible so I need to make a plan. I excuse myself from my friends and heard to the balcony upstairs I know nobody is there since they don’t know it exist. Taking out my phone I decide to text my girl.

Me: Hey.

I wait patiently breathing in the cool summer air until I hear a ping a minute later

Zoe: Hey yourself Nathan.

I like how my girl is free this brings a smile on my face.

Me: Are you enjoying the party so far?

Zoe: Yes it's my first I've never been. Thanks for the invite.

Jeez my girl has never been to a house party before. Where has she been living? Don’t they have parties in Kingsley? I wonder to myself

Me: I'm glad to your first.

Well that sounds so wrong but I press send anyway.

Me: I was wondering if you could meet me by the balcony. That's if you want no pressure.

Yeah I know smooth...well not. I think to myself.

Zoe: I’m sorry where is the balcony?

Well I know typing the directions is probably going to take long so I'm just going to call her, she already said yes.... well kind of. I press the call button trying to calm my breath and fast beating heart.

“Hey again Nathan” she answers after the second ring.

“Hey Zoe. I couldn’t really direct you with a text. I hope that's fine” I pause giving her a chance to decline instead she says okay so I proceeded to give the direction to Hunter's room which leads to the balcony I'm in. Thanks she said before putting down the phone. Now I'm really nervous. After a few minutes I hear the door to the bedroom open. I move to take a peak and there she stands looking around for the balcony. She turns her face landing me, giving me a smile and approached me.
