The Ruthless One

Episode 14

I took Ella to my apartment and put her in my guest bedroom which luckily has a king sized bed and which meant I could set her in the middle and put a lot of pillows around her so she couldn’t roll off and I also put several pillows on the floor in case she somehow fell.

After leaving Ella on the bed with a clean nappy and clean clothes I covered her and let her sleep I left the room without closing the door as the nanny told me incase she was to wake up she wouldn’t feel trapped and freak out as well as that way I could hear her.

I made my way to my room where I called Alex as it still wasn’t that late.

“Hey.” She said as soon as she answered.

“Hey kid.” I said back.

“How is little Ella?” Alex asked leaving me shocked, is there anything she doesn’t know.

“How Alex, how, who tells you these things?” I asked trying to figure out.

“That’s for me to know and you to never find out.” Alex said sneakily.

“Alex my gang is one of the most closes off and guarded place ever and the only way you can get in is one you have someone on the inside working with you are two you talk to the guards on the outside who then ask me or Jack for your permission to enter.” I said exhausted with always trying to figure out how a 14 year old out smarts some of my best men and woman, but I don’t know why I’m surprised she was raised but the bloody rose.

“Anyway how absolutely adorable is it that’s Ella is named after me.” Alex said smiling to herself.

“Wait, huh?” I asked confused.

“Olly my full name is Alexandra Ella Heather Harrison.” Alex said in a duh tone.

“I’ve been so busy that skipped my mind.” I said.

“Alex we cannot forget your were named after your eldest uncle who murdered your grandparents, shot your dad and then tried to kill me, you and your mother because of a miss understanding.” I said leaving her with no comeback.

“Alright fair, My name is not the best example of the situation of being named after.” She said, “all jokes aside how is Ella?” 

“Well as best as she could be, found her biological dad and he’s a piece of s**t, at first while being here she was ok around people now they freak her out and make her go into a panic mode and she’s only calm with me and I also need to find a family for her.” I told her everything like it is.

“Wow, is she sleeping?” Alex asked.

“Yeah, she had a bottle and fell asleep, I had a nanny help me but now I’m by myself, don’t know what to do really but she’s feed and clean.” I said to her and she just nodded.

After talking for another little while Alex started yawning and so we said good night and turned the FaceTime off and soon I was asleep.

I woke up in the middle of the night with the unusual sound of crying, I was about to ignore it and go back to sleep when I remembered that it was Ella who was crying, I rushed to the guest bedroom and picked her up, she kept sobbing mummy, I want my mummy which broke my heart, it completely crushed it as i didn’t know how to act, I ended up making Ella a bottle like the nanny told me to because she said it normally comforts children so I took the chance.

I did everything while holding Ella, rocking her from side to side, as the bottle was done I made my way to my sofa where I sat with Ella in my arms while giving her the bottle.

I know I said I would find Ella another home but right now looking at her so small in my arms I can’t because in my mind for some reason I see her as mine and I know that I’m no where near perfect but I know she will have a life with no worries ever in her way.

I finally decided that I’m keeping her as my own and tomorrow as soon as she wakes up we are decorating her room painting it her favourite colour getting her furniture and clothes (which I will need a lot of help to pick and learn how to match) all the toys a child could ever wish for and all essentials a toddler could ever need and not only that but I’m going to learn how to properly look after her.

I ended up falling asleep with Ella in my arms confident in the life changing decision I just made for not only ms but the little child in my arms.

I swear on my life no danger will ever come her way.
