MY LETTERS TO THE S*X MANIAC
Chapter 1: Relocation
"Mom! This photo frame looks dusty. Let me clean it."
"Yes, yes, clean it, dear. Your dad will be so happy—wherever he is—to have a daughter like you."
"Mom, you talk a lot about my dad, but I don’t even know him—not even how he looks. Don’t you at least have a photo of him?" Kimberly asked.
"My dear Kim, when the right time comes, I’ll tell you who your dad is. Now be quick—the truck driver is waiting. Pack all your things. Let’s go."
"Where we're relocating to is a very good town. Let’s leave our past behind and start a new life."
"Okay, Mom."
They packed all their belongings and left. They got into the truck, which soon sped off, racing alongside other cars on the highway.
"This is the place," the driver said.
"Okay, thanks. Here's your fare." She handed him the money, and he helped them offload their belongings.
Once everything was offloaded, Kimberly opened the door. The items the driver had brought down were now inside the house.
The truck driver left, and everything became quiet—eerily quiet.
"Mom! This house is way bigger than the last one. I love it!"
"I’m glad you do, Kim. And that’s not all—I got you enrolled in one of the best high schools in this town.
Although... it might seem like a strict school, it's really not."
"Thank you so much, Mom! You’re the best. I love you!"
"Good day, ma’am."
"Good day, Iris."
"Mom, who is she?"
"Baby Kim, she’s our new help. She’ll take care of the house and make sure it’s always clean since you won’t be around to do it all."
"Okay, Mom."
"Go check out your room, Kim. Iris, show her the way."
"Okay, ma’am. This way, ma’am."
"Iris, you don’t have to call me ‘ma’am.’ You can call me by my name or whatever you feel comfortable with."
"Okay... ma’am."
Iris led Kimberly to her room. When they arrived, Kimberly was stunned.
"Wow!!! Iris, this room looks amazing—and so big! Who picked the interior decor?" Kimberly asked.
"It was your mom, baby Kim. She’s very fond of you. She even told me all your likes and dislikes," Iris replied.
"I love Mom so much!" she squealed and ran downstairs with Iris.
"Mom!! You are the best. I love you so much! Thank you!"
"Kim, I told you before—no need to say thanks…"
