Chapter Six
The moment Judith joined him at the table, Jeremy made it clear that she had to set her own boundaries for the next phase.
“The real lesson isn’t about living up to anyone else’s standards,” he pointed out. “It’s about remembering and being true to yourself.”
It was true enough that at one time in her life she would have been horrified by the recent chaos in her house and in her professional life.
“What will it take,” he asked, “to keep things the way you believe they should be? To work up to your expectations?”
