During the fated Nightfall Eclipse, Elara, a modern-day woman, is mysteriously transported to the war-torn kingdom of Veythia. There, she finds herself at the center of a deadly game of power, magic, and betrayal. Bearing an uncanny resemblance to a lost queen of ancient prophecy, Elara soon discovers that her arrival has set the stage for an impending war.

Two powerful men are drawn to her, each believing she is the key to their future:

Prince Kieran, the cursed third prince of Veythia, is an outcast among his family and feared by the court. Despite his inner darkness and the whispers of a f*******n blood magic tied to him, Kieran cannot escape the pull toward Elara, a bond that both terrifies and fascinates him.

King Mordain of Thalor, the relentless enemy ruler, is convinced that Elara is the reincarnation of his lost love. Obsessive and unyielding, Mordain will stop at nothing—burning kingdoms, waging wars, and using every ounce of his power—to claim her as his own.

Caught between these two powerful men, Elara must navigate the treacherous politics of Veythia, ancient magic, and the unraveling threads of a dark prophecy that ties her fate to both kingdoms. As war looms on the horizon and ancient secrets come to light, Elara is forced to confront her own past—and make a choice that could shatter the balance of power, ignite a devastating war, and change the fate of Veythia forever.

Will her heart lead to salvation, or will her choice bring ruin to all she holds dear?

Chapter 1: The Nightfall Eclipse
The night sky was filled with an unnatural force as the heavens tore apart. Elara gasped, grabbing at her head as a stinging pain pierced through her skull. The world wobbled, her eyes were blurry between familiar urban streets and another place—a different time. Over her, the sky became darker, a deeper well of ink, and beneath her feet, the ground went away. A spilling coldness, a floating, and then— She fell. As Elara came to herself with an abrupt awakening, she felt the odor of damp soil in her nose. She was lying all the way on a strange piece of ground, which was abundant with tall trees whose leaves were silver-bordered, and they shone under the influence of a supernatural light. A raw wind blew through the woods, with whispers carrying to her—faint, far off, but urgent. Her heart jumped in terror as she fought to rise, her hands sinking into the soft moss which crunched. Where was she? The sky itself was awry—splintered. A gigantic, golden moon hovered heavily, circled by a halo of scarlet, and cast an otherworldly sheen upon the earth. Minuscule crevices of light streamed through the sky, changing and throbbing like living veins. A rustling in the bush jar followed. She froze as figures materialized through the mist—men wearing dark armor, their scarlet capes streaming behind them. The emblem of a three-headed snake shone on their chests. Soldiers. "There!" One of them pointed straight at her. Elara stepped back, her heart racing against her ribcage. "Wait—what?" The leader, a man with a hard jaw and cold eyes, stepped forward. "She matches the description. General Toren instructed sternly—she is to be taken before the king at once." "Elara," a new voice said behind. Turning her face, she saw a woman wrapped in a cloak of deep midnight blue standing at the border of the clearing. Silver embroidery decorated the fabric like stars, and the woman's eyes—stormy gray and knowing—were impaling the mist between them. "You have come," the woman breathed. Elara's mind reeled. "Where am I? Who are you?" "There is no time," said the woman, whose voice was firm but not uncomradely. "Come with me. The court is waiting." Before Elara could even have a chance to process her words, the soldiers started advancing, closing in around her. She retreated one step, all the muscles in her body urging her to flee. "You are to be brought to the palace," replied the commanding soldier. "Do not resist." "Palace?" Elara repeated, her tone rising in incredulity. "You can't just—" The woman in blue placed a hand on Elara’s arm, a touch both grounding and unnerving. "It is fate," she whispered. "And fate does not wait." Swallowing down her protests, Elara allowed herself to be led forward, her pulse erratic. The path through the thick forest was ominously still. As they walked, the scenery altered—twisted trees gave way to meticulously set stone walkways, ethereal lanterns hung suspended in midair like caught fireflies. In front, the menacing outline of the palace stretched, spires jagged against the night sky. Prophecy waited behind those gates. And with them, the first steps into a destiny she did not yet understand.
