Mate

Dee explained everything to me from the tingles when you touch to the marking and mating process. It was so overwhelming but it all made sense now. Rose danced in my head singing "we found our mate" it was annoying. She also explained something called rejection and I was saddened anyone would reject their mate. She explained it does happen but its rare because you cant live a full life without your other half.

She explained she was only 17 so she didn't have a mate yet but was looking forward to meeting whoever the moon goddess chose for her. I was a little overwhelmed but I found myself excited and wondering why the Alpha didn't say anything to me.

Jay we need to talk the alpha mind linked him. Yes Alpha on my way. I reached his door within a few minutes and didn't knock just walked in he knew I was coming and it sounded important. He was sitting behind his desk rubbing his temples. We have a couple of matters we need to discuss he said.

I gave him my full attention to the Alpha now and he began. We need to find out where this girl come from I know she is not a threat to our pack but this maniac she calls Master may be. Especially if he tries to take her back. She has requested we try and locate a couple people who she knew while living in her prison. He said. Where do we begin john I asked him concerned. Well I guess we need to call neighboring packs and ask questions without giving away to much information just in case she is from one of them. 

No way she could have come from anyone close to us could she? I asked. Well who really knows how another pack is run or how they live right? I said. Jay just shook his head  in agreement. Ok The last thing I need to talk to you about is...He stopped and put his head in his hand and stopped talking. What is it Alpha? I said worried. Well Jay I found my mate I said. Alpha that's great who is she? Finally a Luna to keep you in check I said laughing. But I stopped when he looked at me worried. Its Kate I said with a worried expression on my face. 

I sat there kind of shocked but asked the Alpha what I could do to help. Well here's the problem I'm not even sure she knows what mates are and I don't want to overwhelm her. I know she felt the sparks when we touched  but she didn't say anything and neither did I. But this morning I kind of got possessive over her when we were talking about this master guy and she coward away from me.  

Oh you didn't good grief. Ok this is not a bad thing I promise and she deserves to know she is loved and the Luna of the most powerful pack. So how are you gonna tell her? I asked. I don't know but this evening we are gonna go for a run. Do you know she has not shifted yet? What! that is crazy she must be feeling all kinds of emotions by now. John just shook his head in awe.

Ok I have an idea if your gonna go on your run let me put a picnic basket together and take it to the pack lake and when your done with her shift and run you can take her there and explain everything. Yes that is a good idea John I boomed in excitement. Just call me a hopeless romantic he laughed as he walked out of the room. All I could do was shake my head in excitement.

The rest of the day went by quickly and I had such a hard time concentrating fearing the unknown. Will She reject us Apex? I asked my wolf I don't think so she feels the bond I'm pretty sure she does not understand but she knows its something. I sat nervously and in my own head until I realized it was 8pm. I mind linked Dee and asked her to get Kate ready and to meet out front.

 She agreed and quickly got her ready. When I arrived she was waiting for me. It was all I could do not to stare at her but I did not want to make her uncomfortable in anyway so I tried to look away. Good evening ladies we both bowed our heads. Ready I asked and she nervously shook her head. 

We walked for awhile until we come to a clearing. Are you ready to shift he asked? I shook my head yes. I was so nervous and I think he knew so he explained what was gonna happen step by step. Ready? yes.

He told me to go behind a tree and take my clothes off If I wanted to come out I could or he could direct me from behind the tree. I was embarrassed so I stood behind the tree. He began to tell me to close my eyes and clear my mind and become 1 with my wolf.

 This is gonna hurt the first time but only for a second I promise he said. I trust every word he says so I shut my eyes and rose began to speak. Listen to my voice and let me take over she said. She began to hum and I felt calm next thing I knew my bones began to break and twist and it was all I could do to not scream out. The next thing I knew I saw pure white feet and the silkiest fur. I came out from behind the tree and a huge silver wolf was standing a few yards away he laid down in submission letting me know it was john.

Rose went over and laid down beside him and took my nose to his showing him I was ok. rose he is gorgeous I said to her from the back of her mind. She agreed. He Jumped up and ran so I followed him we ran for awhile until we were exhausted. He motioned me to change back so I did. When I was fully dressed I came out. Well how was it? Are you hurting? he asked. It was amazing I felt so free and Rose was excited to run. I'm a bit sore but nothing a hot bath cant fix. I grinned at him.

He asked if I wanted to walk a bit before we returned home. Yes please I need to calm the rush I have before I could think about sleeping. He grinned from ear to ear like he knew something I didn't We walked awhile before coming to a beautiful lake with a beautiful water fall. Wow this is beautiful I said. This is all ours he said. My pack owns all this land and your welcome to come anytime you want. 

He took out a blanket and threw it on the ground and put a basket down that was filled to the brim. When did he bring that I thought? As if he could read my mind he said well I had jay bring it earlier so you could eat after your shift. I'm always starving and I figured you would be as well. Thank you I am starving I said.

We ate then I went over and dipped my toes in the water before I knew it john was beside me with his hand wrapped around my waste. I would like to talk to you about something important but I don't want to freak you out. I shook my head and he began. Do you know what a mate is? Yes I do now Dee and I had a talk earlier today and she explained everything.

 He let out a much needed breath and asked what I thought about it. Well I began.. I was upset at first because I thought there was something wrong with me I noticed when we touched electric shocks went through my body and you pulled away. I thought I was hurting you somehow and I was afraid you were gonna banish me. 

The look on his face was flat I couldn't tell what he was thinking. He pulled me closer and explained everything. I was shocked the first time we touched I didn't know what to think you were laying there so helpless and scared all I wanted to do was pull you into me and comfort you but I knew that would scared you so I walked away. 

This morning when it happened again I knew for sure you felt it by the look on your faced but I already scared you and I wasn't sure you even knew what the mating bond was so again I didn't say anything, But after speaking to jay he helped me put this together so we could be alone and I could finally explain everything.

I stood there kind of shocked. My next words shocked him to the core. Are you gonna reject me? He stiffened up and the look on his face was frightening. Why in the world would I do that? He said pulling me in tighter. Well I'm kind of broken and my childhood was not normal and evidently I have some crazy person who wants to marry me for reasons unknown. I said looking at him frowning.

Well for one I'm gonna strangle Dee for telling you about rejection he smirked. Oh please don't hurt her I asked questions and she answered them for me. He laughed and said I'm really not gonna hurt her she is my best friends annoying little sister I just wish she wouldn't have worried you. he said. 

The moon Goddess paired as as sole mates and I plan on showing you what love he said as he leaned down and took my cheeks in his hands and planted a passionate kiss on my lips. My first kiss I gasped. my face turned red and he chuckled, lets go princess before we end up doing things your not ready for. With that we walked hand in hand back home.
