He shut his eyes as those events replay in his head. He wasn't feeling like himself but still he remains stoic and finally got to his mother's door. He exhales, and knocks “ who is it?” Her voice asked.

He remains quiet and knocks again “ who is it? Can't you speak?” She queries getting irritated. After what felt like an hour, Alex still standing by the door finally speaks “ it's me mother, Xander” he voiced out.

The door opens immediately, Mrs Jefferson comes out shock clearly visible on her face. Looking at her son whom she hasn't seen in years. Her entire body fills up with happiness. She hugs her son like never before,it felt like eternity since she saw her boy “ My boy,my Xander am so happy to see you” she said amidst her tears.

Hugging her back he said “It's okay mom, am here now please stop crying” he cooed. “ Where's Jace?” Mrs Jefferson asked. “ I'm right here aunt” Jace grins walking closer to them, hugging her as well. “How have you been doing aunt? Am sorry about uncle.” Jace sighs heavily.

Mrs Jefferson smile sadly “ it's gonna take time but I will be fine especially for you kids” she said. “Let's go downstairs and chat, it's been so long” she said holding on to their hands like little kids.

“Sis how do you feel now?” Kate asked walking over to Debbie's bed. “I feel much better and where's Zara?” She asked when she couldn't see any sign of her.

“She went home like an hour ago. And she finished the entire soup, didn't even keep some for me not like she adds weight what's the use of eating so much” Kate complained.

Debbie chortles “she’s my lioness after all and Zara has always been a foodie even before going into modelling. Don't worry I will make another one for only you next time” Debbie replied with a smile.

“Thank you sis” Kate squeaked, “So have you thought about us going to see Dante?” She asked Debbie. “Yeah we will go see him tomorrow, I will get his address from Zara. We are going to his house” Debbie replied.

“Yay! That's great news, thank you sis. Tomorrow is Saturday we should stop by for shopping after seeing him” Kate grins. Debbie chuckles “No problem and besides we need to get some things for you to school.”

“ You didn't eat with us, aren't you hungry?” Kate asked Debbie. “Not really I would just take cereal before going to bed. Now let's go watch a movie” Debbie said putting on her flip flops.

“ Jace and Xander seriously you guys were almost unrecognizable. If it wasn't for the fact that you both were famous and your pictures are all over the internet. I would have called the guards to send you both out” Camile chuckles.

“ Now I see why girls run after you guys, I mean see how hot and handsome you both look. Too bad we are siblings and Jace is just like a big brother to me” Camile said sighing.

Alex and Jace chuckles. “ You talk too much cam, just eat” Candice who has been silent during the entire dinner finally spoke. Causing everyone to stare him.

Candice has always been the reserved one among his siblings, he looks like the younger version of Alex but just few inches shorter.

Alex clears his throat “ Are you okay Candice? You didn't even welcome me” Alex asked and Candice shifted his gaze from his food to Alex.

“You shouldn't have come back” Candice said plainly and left the dining room. Alex sighs he knows Candice would be angry and he has every right to be, he just left and came back after their father's death. He wasn't around when they needed him most.

“Let's just give him some time,he will come around” Mrs Jane Jefferson said. And everyone continued their meal.

“So camile what grade are you in ?” Alex asked. “Am in college now bro, I got into primeville College. It's Candice's school and am resuming on Monday” Camile replied with a smile.

“That's great, I should drop you off on your first day” Alex said and Camile frowns “ Am not a baby Xander, having Candice there is already frustrating. I don't need any babysitter” Camile retorted.

“That's your problem, you should be happy that you have elder brothers who love and care for you. Am dropping you off and that's finally” Alex concluded standing to his feet and heading to his room.

“Mom!! You didn't say anything?” Camile whined turning to her direction and her mom pulled her in for a hug “ He's your elder brother and he loves you so much,Candice too they just want the best for you” Mrs Jefferson said calmly.

“Okay mom but after Monday he is not driving me to school again and he's a big celebrity all the girls are going to strip for him there” Camile said with an eye roll.

Mrs Jane Jefferson chuckles “ zip that thing you call a mouth,before I do it for you” she cautions. Camile laughs nervously

“I will just be in my room, if you need me” Camile said and runs off. Knowing how strict her mother can be and that she meant every word she said, didn't want to wait to see the outcome.

“Aunt have you told Alex that the burial is tomorrow?” Jace asked, as it was just them left in the dinner room. He got to know about the ceremony but couldn't tell Alex because his mother insisted not to.

“Not yet I will go to his room now, but I don't know how he will react. His father's burial is tomorrow and yet I haven't told him” Mrs Jane sobers covering her face with her hands.

“I didn't want to ask in front of everyone, but how has he been doing? His he getting better? Mrs Jane asked sniffingly.

“We had to make research, it wasn't easy aunt but we came across a doctor in Canada who gave us a temporary solution. He takes drugs and sometimes inject himself when it gets worse” Jace replied not wanting to go further or bring up the incident that happened at the office. They haven't gotten any details about who she is yet.

Mrs Jane sighs “ Why does my son have to suffer so much” she whimpers “ I will go see him now” she said and left for Alex's room.
