Freedom, Lizzie never experienced such a feeling,  such emotion until she slapped the divorce papers on her husband's desk.  Years of abuse, enslavement, and fear were over for her and her kids.  She stood in front of him, her head high, and she looked him into his eyes. "I'm leaving." It felt like a bunch of weight released from her chest. Warren chuckles and he grabs the papers, they were already signed with her name on them. Lizzie was terrified, she didn’t want to show that she was. She swallowed hard, and she bit her lip that was busted already from her previous beating. “I’m taking my kids, we’re leaving and I’m never coming back.” Lizzie stated and Warren continued to laugh, she was very serious. Warren threw the divorce papers, and he cockily smiles as he leaned back in his office chair. “I own you Elizabeth, I own just about every aspect of you. If I tell you to run, you run Lizzie. It’s plain and simple. Now, stop being an i***t and go fix yourself up, you look disgusting.” Warren seethed evilly, a smile plastered on his lips. Lizzie's eyes squinted at him and she slowly backs up because if she turned her back, he might just strike good and quickly making her impaled to go anywhere and so she leaves his office. Lizzie walks down the hallway quickly, she walks into her room and she grabs her already pre-packed bags from her closet, she packed one for her children because she waited for this day to come but she waited just too long and she could have been free from a long time ago but her self-doubt and her lack of strength prevented her. The now single mother walked into her children’s room, they looked at their mother whose face was still a bit swollen and she picks up her youngest daughter Poppy, then she grabbed her four-year-old son Flynn’s hand. They didn’t ask her where she was taking them or where they were going, all they know is that their mother finally did what was best for them and most of all what was best for her. She was finally depriving herself of the devil himself. Free at last, free at last!
