Chapter 2: House Party (Leigh's POV)
As I walked outside there was a loud whistle blown and a trainer shouting, "No outside clothing on the field. Take your hoodie off new girl"
"What the f**k. Could this day get any worse?" I said to myself as I continued to walk to the evaluation booth. Unfortunately, that is where the yelling is coming from.
"Newbie take the hoodie off and get into training gear." The trainer continued to yell.
"They gave me the wrong size."
"Doesn't matter. Hoodie off now." The trainer replied with a glint in his eye like he was anticipating what would be revealed when I removed my jacket.
"No, I won't. It's not my fault that I was given the wrong size of clothing. I won't be objectified and ogled while I train." I said as I continued to walk.
"You will or you won't be training on my field. Take it off now." Everyone was starting to gather around us.
"Fine, f**k it." I pulled off my hoodie to reveal an over-stretched tank top that barely covers my bra and short shorts.
"Now was that so hard, princess."
"What's your name?" I ask with a sneer.
"Jack."
"Who is your Alpha."
"Alpha James. What's it to you princess?"
Every time he calls me princess I want to rip his head off. "I'm sure uncle Jamie would love to know how much of a perv you are. That you would not allow me to keep my hoodie on so that I wouldn't have to show my t**s to the entire school."
Everyone cheered around me as I stood my ground. Jack's face falls when I called his Alpha, uncle.
I caught Oliver walking towards me wearing a frown on his normally happy face. I think he caught the gist of what was going on. When he got within a few feet of me he took off his t-shirt and handed it to me. "Now you are covered and you are still in uniform. Can I get that name now baby girl?"
I stood there staring for a moment and I think I was starting to drool at the sight of a shirtless Oliver until Jace approached. "Leigh, what's going on. Why are you always causing drama? I knew this was gonna happen."
I pulled the shirt over my head and was wrapped in the smell of Oliver's cologne. It was delightfully sinful. I was enjoying the moment until I realized that Jace just killed my game. "You two know each other?" Oliver asked.
"I guess I should be asking you that question. Why are you giving my cousin your shirt?" Jace asked.
"Your Jace's annoying ass cousin? Leigh, right? Told you I would have that name by the end of the day baby girl." Oliver responded with a smirk.
Jace smacked Oliver on the back of the head, "What the hell is going on bro."
"Leigh is my lab partner for science," Oliver responded a little too innocently. "And Jack here is about to have his face broken by his future Beta if he tells her to take my shirt off. Hey, Jack-ass couldn't you tell she was uncomfortable, or were you trying to stare at a minor's boobs." Jack just cowers and backs away. Completely red in the face from both anger and embarrassment.
"Wait, what?" Jace asked again. You could see comprehension take over as he looked at Jack. Jace could be a d**k to me all day long, but he would never let anyone else do that.
"It's already taken care of. There's no reason to cause any more drama. I think Leigh is ready to start her evaluation now. Right?"
"Yes thank you so much, Ollie," I said giving him a genuine smile. Maybe he isn't as much of a creep as I thought. Liv's words that his intentions are not pure continue to play in the back of my mind, though. I turned from the guys and made my way to the evaluation booth.
An hour later and I'm headed to the leaders' booth. I completely smashed the evaluation and Jack had no choice but to send me to the leaders' group. That and the fact that I am a future Alpha.
When I got to the leaders' group Oliver stared at me in surprise, "What are you doing here baby girl?"
"Oh, she didn't tell you. She's an Alpha, too." Jace told him with a smirk. Oliver's face fell at this information. He seemed upset but then passed it off with a smile. Did I miss something?
Training for this day is for accuracy so we are shooting and throwing knives. I excel at this so I came in top for the girls and second overall just behind Jace. And that was only to keep from showing off too much. Oliver was pretty quiet for the rest of the day. He didn't stop me or try to get me on my own to talk to me before we headed back to the locker rooms.
I was kind of disappointed when I didn't see him before I walked outside to my bike. When I rounded the corner to head home I found that Oliver was parked next to me. He had the same bike that I do in silver. "Nice bike," I shouted to him with a smile. He just ignored me as he fired up his bike. He backed out of his space and was out of the parking lot before I could recover from his lack of response.
The rest of the week Oliver was just as distant. Even in chemistry, he only spoke to me when he had to. We also shared my first class on B day, which is ancient history. He made sure to sit as far from me in that class as possible. During training, he kept his distance. I was so happy that it was finally Friday.
Liv had invited me to join her at the packhouse party that night. I had never been to a party before. I wasn't sure if this was a good idea, but I was trying to be more social. It will be good for me to spend more time with the packs and get to know them. Plus Oliver will be there. I know I shouldn't be thinking about him, but I just can't get him out of my head.
After training, we dropped off my bike at my house and hopped in her Jeep to go to the local mall. We spent about 2 hours shopping trying to find the perfect outfit for tonight. Liv talked me into a light blue jean mini skirt and a white one-shoulder crop top paired with a pair of silver strapped sandals.
After grabbing a quick bite at the mall, we headed back to the packhouse. Then scurried up to her room so we could get ready for the night. Liv did my hair and makeup leaving my long black hair in slight waves down my back and giving me a nude lip with a smoky eye, that made my bright green eyes pop, to finish off the look.
"You look so hot. Ollie is going to lose his shit." Liv squeals in excitement.
I look down and feel a little exposed, but I really do want to be noticed by Oliver tonight. That's the only reason why I agreed to all this. I just don't understand what I did wrong. We had a fun flirty vibe and then nothing. I barely get a grunt out of him in class now. He walks the other way when we are in the hallways. Was it all a game? Flirt with the new girl, get her name and... and... I don't know.
"I want to get drunk tonight," I announce.
"Really. That is definitely something, I have the skills to help you do." Live responded with an excited giggle.
"Yeah. I have never been before. I think I need to let loose. If only for one night." I may regret this but I'm going for it.
Liv headed down ahead of me. I told her I needed to use the bathroom first. I was nervous. I wasn't used to being around this many people. The house was packed. I was showing a lot of skin and without Liv, I was losing my confidence. I grabbed my light blue Adidas hoodie and pulled it on before making my way down to the living room.
The party was like any I had seen on TV. Lots of people crammed in a small space while holding drinks. Some people were dancing. Others were sitting chatting. While others were making out and looking for a room to disappear into together. The dining hall had a few beer pong tables set up. The kitchen had coolers full of alcoholic drinks including gallons of what I am told is called jungle juice. I decided to opt for a red cup of the jungle juice and downed it before refilling it again. It tasted great.
"I'd take it easy on that." Came a voice from behind me. I turned to come face to face with Garrett. Garrett is from the leaders' group. He just turned 18 in July and is now the Alpha of the Blue Moon pack. Garrett is also gorgeous. He has dark brown hair bright blue eyes, toned arms, and abs for days. Those abs are on full display, as he is only wearing a pair of cargo shorts. I feel slightly flush just from the sight of him.
"Mmmm... but it's so tasty," I responded back.
"Yea but before you know it, jungle juice will be biting you in the ass. Don't want a hottie like you getting sick." I blushed at his words. Did he just call me a hottie?
I had no clue how to respond and was thankfully saved by Liv who was coming at me with a mad look on her face. What did I do?
"Hey, Garrett." She said before she turned on me. "What the hell are you wearing."
"I got cold." I lied.
"Liar! Come on you look so hot in that outfit." Liv begged. Garrett looked puzzled by our conversation but gave me a bright encouraging smile.
I pulled Liv away and whispered in her ear, "Let me get a few more drinks in me firsts okay. I hear they call alcohol liquid courage."
"Then drink up. I will give you 15 minutes to find your courage, or I will remove it for you. I want to dance, and I want my hot friend to join me." She says while throwing me a wink.
I downed the rest of my cup and replied, "Then let's get me a refill." When I finished my 4th cup, I finally got the courage to remove my jacket.
Liv took the hoodie from my hand and threw it in the washer and turned it on. "You can't have it back till you wash my laundry," Liv said with a giggle. "Now let's dance."
I have studied multiple types of dance to work on my agility, none of those types were house-party, but I know how to move and keep with a beat.
We were dancing and drinking for about an hour before I felt a pair of hands grab my waist and pull me in to dance with them. I was fueled by alcohol so I didn't care but was pleasantly surprised when I found that my new dance partner was Oliver.
"What are you wearing." He says into my ear. "You're gonna be the death of me."
"Do you not like it?" I say with a pout.
"Baby Girl, don't be ridiculous. The things I want to do to you right now should be illegal." He said in a breathless voice.
"Then you have Liv to thank for this." I giggled as he pulled me closer to him. He had a fifth of Jameson in one hand and his other wrapped firmly around my middle. The bottle was more than halfway gone, as he bent to leave a trail of wet kisses down my bare shoulder.
After dancing for several songs, he pulled me over to the couch and then down onto his lap. I was wasted. "Why did you ignore me this week," I ask him finding my courage again in another round of drinks and a shot straight from his bottle.
He didn't respond. Instead, he turned me slightly to kiss me. It started as a light peck. Then deepened quickly. He tasted like whiskey, as he gently stroked his tongue against mine. The kiss went on forever until we had to come up for air.
At this point in the night, I was only vaguely aware of my actions. I know I was still on Oliver's lap, but the beat of Shape of You by Ed Sheeran, had me rocking my hips.
"Baby Girl, if you keep moving on me like that I will have my way with you upstairs." A giggle slipped from my lips.
My only other response was "Mmmm..." as his hands traveled up my body. One hand cupped my chest while the other kept me firmly secured in his lap as I continued to grind into his package.
"f**k. You're making me so hard." This sent tingles to my southern region that was already soaked. "I can smell how ready you are, Baby Girl. Let's move this upstairs to my room."
I freeze. I'm not ready for this. Just as I'm trying to figure out how to keep us on the couch, Jace appears in front of us.
"What the hell, bro. I told you to keep your hands off my cousin. What is wrong with you." He stopped and turned on me. "f**k Leigh what are you thinking?"
"I Ummm..." hiccup.
"Leigh, how much have you had to drink? What are you wearing?" I just glared at him while still sitting on Oliver. "It's time to go home. Before you make more of a fool of yourself."
I started to sober for a moment and was pissed that he was talking to me like I'm a child. "I'm not going anywhere. You are not my Alpha and can't tell me what to do." I stood up, a little too quickly, and pushed him backward.
"Leigh don't start this s**t tonight."
"It's up to you if you want to get your ass kicked by a chick in front of your whole pack."
"Leigh right now you can barely stand. Just go home." He shoots back.
"How bout you go f**k yourself." I said and stormed off." I could hear Jace yelling at Oliver behind me. I was so pissed at Jace. I'm completely embarrassed by this. Why couldn't he just let me have fun? I have done nothing but train my entire life. I just wanted one night. I made my way outside and set myself on a bench staring out at the backyard. The sprinklers were going and I became mesmerized by their spray pattern.
I heard someone approaching and figured it was Jace coming to belittle me some more. I was happy to find it was Oliver with two drinks headed my way. He handed me one of the cups of jungle juice and I sipped it happily as I continued to watch the sprinklers.
"What's going on in that head of yours, Baby Girl?" Oliver asked.
"I want to do something fun."
"I can think of a few things." He said leaning down and kissing me again.
I pulled back and asked, "Wanna go run through the sprinklers with me?" and I took off. He stayed there stunned for a moment and then decided to chase after me. I was completely soaked by the time he caught me. I was laughing as he wrapped his arms around me and pulled me to him. We ended up on the ground since we both had so much to drink.
I found myself pinned under him as he kissed me. His hand traveling up my thigh. He hesitated for a moment before tracing his fingers over my underwear that covered my sweet spot. He palmed me and rubbed back and forth. I moaned into his mouth as we made out in the mud.
Too quickly, for my liking, the tempo escalated. He was tugging at his pants and trying to free himself. I'm not ready for this. I just had my first kiss ever with him a few hours ago. He was making a solid effort to try to remove my underwear, while also making out with my chest on my top. This is definitely not how I pictured my first time being and it won't be. I push Oliver off of me.
"Come on Leigh. You've been teasing me with this all night." He says in a husky breathless voice.
"I wasn't teasing but I don't want to have sex."
"Your body and actions tell a different story, Baby Girl." He pulled me back to him, while his pants and his boxers are still down. I think I'm going to be sick. I escape his grasp and run back to the house. Fixing my skirt and shirt as I run. Oliver yelled after me but he tripped over his pants.
I ran up the stairs to the bathroom across from Liv's room. I was crying as I puked. I couldn't breathe. I was so mad at myself for getting so drunk. I locked the door when I came in. A few people have knocked on the door as I spent the next hour getting sick. I crawled into the shower at some point to try and clean up.
I was beginning to feel myself come down some and I needed my clothes from Liv's room. I wrapped a large towel securely around myself and peeked out into the hallway. It was thankfully empty. Liv's door wasn't far and I quickly yanked it open to get inside.
I instantly regretted this. Behind the door was the last thing I ever expected to find. Oliver had some dark-haired girl bent over Liv's bed as he took her from behind. He looked up as I entered but did not slow in his stroke. "Want to join us, Baby Girl?" The girl chose this moment to puke on Liv's bed.
I spun on my heel and ran out crying. I was running down the stairs and ran right into Garrett.
"I'm sorry," I say trying to suppress a sob.
"Hey, hey. Are you okay?" He asked as Liv came into view. She wrapped her arms around me when she was close enough.
"What happened?" They both ask in unison.
I managed to sob out what I had witnessed in her room.
"I'm going to kill him." Liv turned and raced up the stairs.
Garrett took in my appearance and pulled off off his shirt and handed it to me.
"Come on let's get you home."
I pulled on his shirt and it came almost to my knees.
"Thank you."
"I'll get my car and take you home." He offered.
"I think I'll walk. You've been drinking."
"I've only been drinking soda all night."
"Oh. Why?" I am shocked almost everyone here is plastered.
"I'll tell you on the way. Come on." He offers me his hand to follow him. I left the packhouse behind me as Garrett's car came into view. He held the door of his black Audi open for me, as I got into the passenger seat.
