"Did you eat? I have some snacks here if you haven't." Hailey said with a smile. She's always like this even it's been a week since they got transferred here. Mira thought in the first she's just doing it to them since they're new and a week later or so she'll treat them like nothing yet, there she is, she's like everyone else's big sister. Except for Salem, she's isolating herself away from everyone here in this room and never bat an eye on everyone.
"We eat back to our dorm--" I looked at Freddy who gives the puppy eyes to Hailey, "I'm still hungry." Hailey laughed before giving him some snacks, "There, don't be shy to me, okay? It's free." She winked at Freddy.
"Thank you!"
"You don't like to eat, Mira?" Keiro asked her and Mira responded by shaking her head as a 'no'.
"You're also not a big eater." He chuckled.
"Like what I've seen last week, it looks like Salem talks to you that much," Erin said as he makes his chair faced the back, "It's quite rare since she only talks to her cousin and butler or sometimes to the teachers. When it comes to Julius, all of it was a threat or sometimes she harms everyone."
"Both of her and Zachary used to attend a different class from us, Zachary's teacher is Lady Selene while her is Lady Marionette. Zachary got transferred here three days before Salem and one day before the three of you. Julius said that they're both shifters." Erin added.
"I heard that we got a new classmate, Lady Selene's separate class," Julius said then placed both of his feet on his desk as he reclined on his chair. Keiro and Erin looked at him in utter confusion while the four mages and Hailey are just waiting for his next words.
"Lady Selene told me so, it's a male." He smirked and crossed his arm, "I'm sure it's a newbie royalty."
"It's egregious," Garnett deadpans.
"Among 9 dorm leaders, who do you think is the leader who's not in our class?" Keiro asked while his hand is on his chin, guessing who's who.
"The shifter and the hybrid's leader," Aquarius replied.
"Please everyone moves back to your proper seats." A serene yet serious Lady Selene said when she entered the room followed by Zachary who's looking at the interiors of the room. Julius grinned while the rest are making gossips.
"I guess you know him right?"
"Yes, Lady Selene." The rest said in unison. Zachary sits beside Julius without a word and Lady Selene started to discuss their lesson.
Three days later when the teacher threw their hatred the most started her lesson, Mrs. Holloway, a hero from another dimension. In everyone's story, she's self-centered and has the rotten attitude that everyone hated. She immediately got interrupted by someone who entered the room like she didn't exist at all. Everyone looked at the person who entered and caused jeopardy to their discussion. She's taller than the teacher or to the rest of the supernatural except Zachary who got almost the same height as hers. Even Mrs. Holloway only reaches her inches before her shoulder. She seems like waking up that wants to sleep more but someone forces her to go.
"Who are you?! Are you informed that this is the class of Royalties?!" The girl looked at her coldly then yawned, "Do you think I'm going here because I didn't know?" Mrs. Holloway gasped in shock while the rest of the class was left flabbergasted. The teacher laughed sarcastically then leaned at the table.
"How impolite girl, you're a trespasser here. Don't tell me that this is your class? What's with that clothes? Girls should wear skirts, not that one! How absurd of yours!" She looked at Salem from head to toe then snorted, "Wear what uniform assigned for your gender! Not that clothes that you wanted to wear! What are you? Do you consider yourself as a boy or a gi---" Mrs. Holloway gets cut off when Salem yawned and not paying any attention to her.
"Are you even listening?!" She didn't speak but she looked at her using her cold grayish-blue orbs. Salem takes a paper from her pocket then placed it on the top of her table. An eerie smirk crept upon her lips that make the professor almost got rooted at the spot where she is and goosebumps.
"I'm a girl. You speak as you pay for my expenses. I wear whatever I want and you?" Salem stared directly into her eyes, "You seem like an upset by this clothing if you don't want it, then deal with it since I'm part of this class. You can't tell me what I wear if it's a skirt or not. If you want a skirt then wear one, don't order me to wear what you want, I'm not you. Nothing stops you from that sh**ty skirts. Feel free to tangle that all over you. Don't make me like what you are, dead apple. Congratulations by the way for questioning the way I clothed myself but...no one cared or cares." Salem unfolded the paper then showed the handwritten letter of Lady Marionette before walking away from the speechless professor. One last time, the edge of her lips twitched and formed into an eerie smirk can be seen on her face. Anger and fear are blending into the teacher's mind yet fear stands out the most.
"That is the letter, in case you're not informed read that. I guess after you read that your clogged mind will get clear, Mrs. Holloway. Your last name suits you the most by the way."
"One fact about her, she's a bit.." Keiro's lips formed into a thin line with a hesitating expression, "Twisted."
"Are you done?" Keiro almost fall from his seat and smiled innocently at Zachary who's now standing beside him while Salem is standing at the doorway emotionlessly.
"Mira," Zachary called her. Mira and Freddy stopped talking with the trio and looked at him. Hailey smiled awkwardly at him then faced the front. Freddy and Mattheo averted their gazes away from Zachary after they remember what he has said.
"Let's talk." Mira furrowed her brows before standing up and followed him outside, "What is it?"
"Let's eat lunch together if you want."
"It's just a lunch and I'm going to do what I've promised." He scratched his head.
"It's not only the three of you are here, someone sensed you. No one can end this mayhem until everything gets unveiled."
"Have you heard that?" Mira asked the raven in front of her. Zachary furrowed his brow and hold both of her shoulders, "Heard what? Are you alright? You can tell me."
"There's a whisper. You didn't hear it?"
"I did." Zachary caressed her cheeks then give her a reassuring smile.
"I heard it too," Salem said before facing in their direction. She remained her arms crossed as she walked towards them, "Better not to talk about it. Ignore every whisper. You didn't that might one day it'll crawl all over you and devours you inside. It can wear your skin to walk over the broad of daylight."
"Can we trust you?"
