Chapter 28

"Is that the Eiffel Tower?" Perrie exclaimed as she rushed to the side of the boat, pointing to the monolithic structure. Jade chuckled to herself over the other girl's excitement. "Yes it is," she confirmed. "It's taller than I expected." "How would you like to go up it?" Jade asked, causing Perrie to turn around abruptly and face her. "You can go on it?" Jade nodded with a smile. "Sure can. There are both stairs and an elevator that lead up it. If the night is clear, you can see the whole city from the top." "You've been up there before? "A few times," Jade confirmed. She'd been to Paris on multiple occasions. During her last tour she had taken and her tour mates to the top the day of their show. It had been a very public outing. "It's open pretty late too, and I was thinking we could go there after we get off the boat, then maybe walk around a bit and find some dessert." "You're adorable," Perrie grinned, kissing her girlfriend's cheek. "You really planned this whole night out perfectly." "Well it is your birthday," she shrugged in return. After returning back to the dock, Jade helped lead Perrie onto dry land. She was definitely impressed by Perrie’s ability to walk in heels. It was part of Jade’s job to dance around stage in high heels, but she was always impressed by those who didn't wear them the way she did and their ability to stand them. Jade only wore heels when performing and when attending particular events. A car was already waiting for them when they docked and the ride to the Eiffel Tower was relatively short. Upon arrival after getting out of the car, Jade grasped Perrie’s hand and intertwined their fingers. "Gary is going to come with us and lay low just in case. But it's relatively dark out and if we don't draw attention to ourselves I don't think I'll be recognized. Tourists are generally more focused on the Tower and the view to realize they're standing next to a celebrity. Is that okay with you?" Even though she knew that she was unlikely to be recognized, she wanted to make sure she had confirmation from Perrie before moving forward. "Let's go," Perrie grinned in return, squeezing Jade’s hand reassuringly as they started walking to the structure.
