We got out of the SUVs and started looking around at the area, while making sure that we had everything we needed. We walked for about two hours and finally reached the edge of the darkest part of the forest, then we stopped to get our weapons ready. We all knew that we would need everything we could get our hands on to protect us from whatever was laying in wait inside the darkness, so we even brought shields with us. None of us had any idea what we were in for when we stepped inside, but the one thing we hadn’t counted on was for the trees to be locked together, creating some kind of barrier and preventing us from going further.
