I
Am
So
Exhausted.
Lucinda had me run around after her to dress shop for the gala tonight. I swear we have been into thousands of shops, my feet are killing me.
I have been carrying around a billion of shopping bags all day and Lucinda didn’t even let me put them in the car. To top it all off I’m now cooking lunch for the devil instead of eating something myself or rest my feet.
I have so many things to do and none of them include me getting ready. I have to do a miracle to get ready on time.
I served her lunch and she glared at me before she waved me off and started eating. No matter how much she hates me she knows she needs me and that I do all the work.
I jogged upstairs to my room really quick and went to my room to see what I have in my closet.
I didn’t have much to choose from so I chose the black one, since it’s a gala and I might meet my idol tonight.
Maybe faith is waiting for a magical night like tonight for me to meet Liam Payne. I waited so long in my life and finally, tonight I will be in the same room as him. Even if I don’t get the chance to talk to him because I’m assuming he will be with like a billion security guards, just seeing him a few meters away from me is more than enough.
It could be the only great thing to happen to me this year.
Don’t get ahead of yourself, that’s what you thought about James too and look where that ended. My subconscious snickered and she was right but I can’t let anything ruin my night tonight not even Ashley and Janice. I know they were behind that fake account, I just know it. Which is why I ended their little scheme there, what more could they possibly come up with to break me into a million pieces?
One time in high school, they found out I had a crush on someone and told him that I gave people herpes because I slept with so many people. He didn’t look at me any more. I was broken but then I realized that it was low of him to think that of me so for once they did me a favor.
I placed the dress on my bed and went to Lucinda’s room to prepare her make over stuff. She says I need makeup, she should see the amount she uses to cover her old, wrinkly and cold face. I laughed and continued to set the items she needed. I have no idea how she wants me to style her hair yet so I got out both the curling and flat iron.
I got her make up kit out which was really heavy by the way and her box of nail polishes and sorted them out on her make up table. If you think a billion colors exist you should see how many nail polishes she has.
Those are not even to start with, sometimes I borrow some from her, only the colors she hates because she would notice and kill me. But hey you can’t blame a girl for wanting a bit of glam.
Then I walked to her ‘dressing room’ and hung up the dresses she might like for the gala tonight on 3 clothing racks. I had 3 dresses to choose from for one night and she has all the stores in the world in her huge dressing room.
Dad used to have an office next to his room with a balcony. I remember him showing me the stars through his telescope at night and the days I used to spend here either tuning my guitar or drawing. He loved to spend time with me and now the room is basically Lucinda’s shopping mall and all dad’s stuff are probably burnt somewhere along with mum’s as well.
Suddenly I heard footsteps and I knew she must have already devoured her lunch. Let the torture begin.
She scoffed as she entered the room and looked around. She hates it when she can’t insult me. I smirked and cleared my throat.
“Let’s start my nails first, wait I need to know what I’m gonna wear first. And shoes and purse and jewelry and shade of make up and hair style.” I looked at my feet and rolled my eyes and let her ramble to herself as she walked to her closet.
“Come here.” She hollered and I sighed and followed. “Here hold up the ones I pick out.” I nodded and followed her as she pointed at random dresses. When you could barely see my face due to the pile of clothes she moved to her full length mirror.
“Put them there and bring them one by one.” I did as she said and it took her 2 hours of dress lifting and twirling and groaning to finally decide on a sparkling blue floor length dress.
“Now do my nails a sparkling blue.” I nodded and managed to finish them in half an hour, she whined which irritated me but I kept my mouth shut. It really doesn’t help when I want to strangle her all the time. But today is a happy day, I will meet Liam, stay calm. Breath.
“Now off to shoes.” She said as her nails were dry. I followed her and she paired black stilettos with her dress.
“Now, jewelry and hair.” I really hope I have time to get ready myself. She pondered for a while which only irritated me more but she finally decided on a silver jewelry and an up-do.
She whined that I was pulling her hair the whole time and after a lot of huffing and arguing I finished her hair and makeup.
After all this I don’t even get a thank you all I get is a “Get out”. I gladly left the room and rushed to mine. I took a quick shower and did my hair in an impossible amount of time. I only had half an hour to get ready. Luckily I had done my nails earlier this week and they fit with the dress,
I chose a full hand bracelet,
I put my hair in a crown braid,
And put on my makeup,
And was finally dressed. I looked at myself in the mirror and was pretty satisfied with how I looked before I rushed down the stairs.
“Miss, you look so beautiful.” Mr. Richardson said as he saw me descending down the stairs. Before I could open my mouth to thank him, Lucinda walked to the front door and saw me. “What are you wearing?” She asked laughing, “You didn’t think you were invited right?”
She can’t be serious right now, my eyes were starting to get glossy. Is she really going to ruin my chance to meet Liam?
“I don’t need nor want my assistant there. Do you think I want to embarrass myself? I don’t want people to think I associate myself with you. It’s only enough I raise you let alone embarrass myself in front of important people.” She spat and I let my tears fall. I couldn’t care less that I was ruining my makeup.
She scoffed and turned around, “Come on I don’t have time to waste with her. Let’s go.” She yelled as she opened the door. Mr. Richardson gave me a sympathetic look before he turned around and left to drive Lucinda to the gala.
The gala I organized.
The gala that was my only chance to meet Liam at.
Like always, Lucinda found a way to ruin my life.
Again.
I ran up to my room, grabbed my guitar and went to roof. The only place I could think of at the moment, my safe place.
Louis’s POV
Me and the lads are at the gala the management made us come to. This time I really wanted to come because I wanted to see that girl again.
Liam is finally back but won’t talk to any of us I really need to know what is up with him, maybe I can get him alone tonight and make him tell me. We’re suppose to be best friends and I hate it when he hides stuff from the band.
We just got out of the limo and were greeted by a red carpet. Wow this event is well organised. We posed for some photos but didn’t answer any questions from the press because this is a party and I have one mission tonight and that is to confirm who that girl is.
I posed for a pic with El and then we went inside.
We walked inside and grabbed a glass of champagne and took a sip. “Hey, I’m gonna go talk to Liam for a while, be right back okay?” I whispered to her and she nodded. I smiled gratefully at her and kissed her cheek before I pulled Liam out of the ballroom.
“Hey,” He complained as I pulled him outside. As soon as we were out of the crowd I turned him around.
“What the hell has been going on with you, Liam? And don’t say nothing, you have to stop lying to my face, we’re band mates hell we’re suppose to be best friends. I deserve an explanation. Now speak, what has been going on?” I ranted and he sighed looking at his glass of champagne.
“Not now Louis, I’m not in the mood.” He simply said and I huffed. “I thought you were happy talking to Ella, I thought you were forgetting Cheryl.”
“I am and I was well not anymore, that got ruined too.” He said and I looked at him confused. “Ella isn’t talking to me anymore, she thinks I’m a fake profile who is only trying to mess with her feelings. She accused me of being two girls who I think pick on her and she stopped talking to me. Even un followed me.” He said.
“But that’s not why you left is it?” He let out a deep breath and shook his head. “Look Lou, I came here for the sake of he band, I really don’t wanna bring this up now. I’ve been trying to think of a way to tell all of you for a while now. I promise I will just not now, okay lad?” He explained.
“You’re not pulling a Zayn are you?” He chuckled dryly and shook his head. “Nice choice of words for what you’re implying mate but no. Don’t worry.” I relaxed at his words and nodded.
“Then just know that whatever it is, I’m here we all are.” He nodded and I patted him on his shoulder before walking away.
Whatever it is that he’s hiding I will get to the bottom of it. I went back inside the ballroom and looked around for Eleanor. I spotted her next to Catherine so I walked up to her. Her face lit up once she saw me.
“There you are, took you long enough.” She said and I pulled her into a hug. “Miss me much?” I teased and she smacked my chest laughing. “No, you can go.” She joked. “Okay.” I told her and turned on my heel to leave but she pulled me back. “I’m kidding, of course I missed you. I miss you every second we’re apart.” I laughed and kissed her.
“Me too babe.” I told her once we pulled apart. “Did you get Liam to tell you what’s going on?” She asked entwining her hands behind my back and looking up at me. I shook my head at her and was about to speak but I spotted that evil b***h. The one who was mean to the girl I’m looking for.
I tried to look and see if she’s with her being that she’s her assistant but she was alone.
Why isn’t she here?
And on the day I wanted to talk to her without having that b***h interrupt us.
I guess my luck is not on my side today.
