(40 to 45 mints later……)

Mel. Mel.. Melanie…… MELANIE!

WHOA,WHAT,!

WHYY ARE YOU YELLING AT ME!!!

Because you won’t wake up any other way..

my mom says with a giggle.

Plus we are almost there my mom points out to the sign on side of the road, saying One Mile till Jacksonville.

Yay.!! Now can I go back to sleep.?

NO!

My mom says using her strict mom tone.

Fine!

I say frustrated because I could have used a extra few mints of sleep.

Mel it’s seems that’s all you ever do..,

Tara says from behind me, with a quit being lazy tone.

I’m sorry was I talking to you!

I said very annoyed that she was talking.

GIRLS! Don’t start!

BOTH GIRLS: Sorry mom..

While in the short spat with my step sister and my mom breaking it up before it got to intense, I look over to the right and there it was the gravel dirt road that went to the camp grounds.

My stomach started to do flips and Roxy was going crazy with excitement, we are finally here girl we are home! I said with probably just as much excitement and relief as to be back in my hometown,,

after a few mints on the dirt road I seen it..!

There it was the sign that I remembered from those two and half years ago,

WELCOME TO CAMP BLACK FALLS.

As we pulled up more on the old dirt road, I started to see paths that branched out that would take you to a few cabins and other places of the camp ground, we inched closer getting stuck in a line of vehicles and some ATV’s that only seemed to only take a few mints..

When we finally reached a opening to a big parking lot that Circled around into a loop and off to one side cars could park to get there luggage out, as we made the loop and parked off to one of the spots available I got out and smelled all the glorious smells of woods and the freshly cut grass.

As I got looking around something Immediately caught my attention, my eyes started to water the instantly his eyes locked on to mine..

DADDY!!!!!!!

I ran as fast as I could not stoping jumping in to his arms, almost knocking him to the ground lucky for him he’s a strong werewolf if not I might have hurt him..

Oh Melanie how I’ve missed you,, HOWS MY LITTLE FIRECRACKER!!?

YEP…… you just ruined the moment way to make it awkward dad.. I say a little sad that he had to say my nickname in public around people I didn’t know or didn’t want them to hear..

Meaning………

FIRECRACKER!!? Hahahaha WHAT! what kinda nickname is that!

I turned to see my step sister almost in tears from laughing so much at my nickname and boy let me tell you, I was HOT with Anger so hot that I about force shifted which can’t happen do to being around humans.

Before I new it I had ice water splashed on me, that instantly cooled me down a little I turned around to see who through the water..

YOU GOOD!! a male voice said coming from the side of my dad.

Of course it would be you,, Tyler Miller your always the one to pulling pranks where’s your brother Tyson..?

And after those last words came to my mouth I heard another bucket rattle but before that person could drench me with water agin, I hurried up kicking them off balance and the water bucket went flying landing directly on there head..

EVERYONE: HAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA!!

Don’t you know any better Tyson that once someone has there guard up that the next prank won’t be as successful,, I tell him while he’s on the ground all wet.

YOU KNOW WHAT… your time will come Melanie your timee willll comeee, we have all summer! He says with a positive look..

If it helps you sleep at night sure! I say walking back to my moms car to get my bags, not caring that I was wet at the moment.

I wonder if there sister was anywhere around?.

Megan Miller she isn’t like her brothers she’s human while here twin brothers are werewolf’s like me, she’s one of my friends and yes she knows about supernatural.

It would be kinda hard to keep it a Secret since she lives with a bunch of werewolf’s, she was adopted at age 3 I guess her real parents got killed in a attack.

she wouldn’t tell me much about it because she already made up her mind where her Heart lies which was the family she already has…

I got pulled from my thought about my friend when I heard my mom talking to my dad..

Ok Jason some ground rules!… One make sure those two get along and don’t kill each other, Two make a curfew I don’t want them out gallivanting around at a late hour, An three keep my baby’s safe i mean IT!!… she said the last one with her finger poking in to his chest..

It will be ok Teresa, I’ll take good care of these girls.

You bet you will, one phone call and ill be back and your hide will be mounted on my wall!!

My dad gulped at the last note and said,.. YES MA’AM!!

Mom turns to me and my step sister after we got all are bags out of the car, hugs us good bye and kisses us on the four head and told us both she loves us and that she will see us in a few weeks and to behave are selfs.. With that she got in her car starting it up driving away while waving a last good bye and take care…

Me and Tara turn back to my father who seemed to have been lost in thought..

So dad where are we going to stay,? because I’m still kinda wet from the prank Tyler pulled on me and I would love to get out of these wet clothes.

Ah yess right this way lady’s… my dad says showing us to the cabin that we was going to be staying in.

After walking a little ways past a few close cabins we finally made it to the one we was staying in for now I guess..?

My dad said it will all be explained tomorrow thats when the first day of camp actually started and that later we will be assigning to are own cabins with groups of are ages, we walked in to are cabin and set down are bags and started to look around.

I CALL THE ROOM ON THE RIGHT! I yell at Tara before she got any bright ideas..

OF COURSE YOUR MAJESTY! She yells back at me annoyed that I picked the first room.

Which made me kinda irritated before I got a word in my dad steps up between us and says…

Now listen girls your mother has informed me that you two haven’t been getting along and I would appreciate it if you two would make the best of it and not ruin the fun for everyone else do I make my self clear..

We started to open are mouths but got cut off form my dad..

DO I MAKE MY SELF CLEAR!!

YES SR!! We both said with bright eyes, I couldn’t believe he used his Beta tone on us I new it would effect me and my wolf to submit but didn’t realize it had effect on humans as well, when finally looking away from my dad I realized Tara was in a state of shock..

Whoa yea I’m sorry your dad has some wicked authority I bet everyone listens to him and not make him mad..

You have no idea,, I say with a giggle knowing she probably wouldn’t understand.

OK GIRLS! My dad haulers to make sure we was listening.

I’m going on a run and make sure everyone is getting settled in ok come find me when you girls get settled, i will be at the mess hall about 5:30pm.

If you can’t find your way there is a map on the counter but you shouldn’t need it there are arrows all over the paths that we pasted, I would have showed you both on the way here but since someone wanted to prank Melanie with ice water I figured get you changed up would probably be better..

Ok so it’s only 3:27pm we have a little while before we head out I’m going to take a shower and get my things put away you should probably do the same Tara… I say think what all needs done.

she says looking in her to do list agin.

Look I started in but got cut off from Tara.

Ok I think we need to get clear on a few things, one we don’t no each other, I don’t want to start this summer being the sad little step sister you can’t get away from, two if I make friends and I will and you some how end up meeting them don’t tell them we are related, and three try to stay away from me ok.

I was stunned for a second before opening my mouth.

Okkkkkk…… So like I’m fine with most of that but we have to play it off when mom gets back that we had the best time together and we actually got somewhat along.

Tara was think what I said then rolled her eyes then said,, whatever we will figure it out when we get there.

She then left out of the room with her bags to go unpack.

I rolled my eyes thinking how this is going to be a long summer while grabbing my bags to head up stairs to do the same thing, after a few I got ready to take a shower.

As soon as I got done in the shower and blow drying my long strawberry blonde hair, I decided I was going to see the time and send my friends a quick text before getting dressed..

ELAINE & MEGAN ;p

MELANIE: Hey girls, I forgot to tell you I made it and getting read to go to the mess hall what are you too doing!!?

ELAINE: Girl WHAT! Why didn’t you call me or something I would have came and welcomed you home!!

MELANIE: Sorry I would have but a lot was going on and I was just overwhelmed Roxy literally was about to take control if i didn’t calm down.

MEGAN: GIRL!! I already heard all about your arrival…… XD Tyler got you GOOD!!

And saved your A$$ from shifting..

ELAINE: SO THATS WHAT WAS HAPPENING EARLIER HOW DID I MISS THAT!!

MELANIE: Yea I guess that’s only good part about it!!… -_-!

MEGAN: Sorry…

ELAINE: yea sorry Mel..

MELANIE: It’s ok.. You both should have seen Tysons face when I put his A$$ on the ground.. XD

After a nice chat with my friends I noticed I was still in a towel and looked at the time on my phone 5:11pm, holly goddess I need to get ready I went to my dresser for now to pick out a outfit for the evening.

I finally picked out a simple pair of ripped blue jeans and a gray V-Neck T-shirt I then curled the ends of my hair and put a little makeup on, I looked back at my reflection proud that I didn’t look to bad hope I can make a good impression tonight…

Finally done getting ready putting on my tennis shoes on, now heading downstairs to get ready to head out to door.

You ready Tara,,?

I say with I just want to hurry up get out and find my friends.

Yea I’m ready.. let me just grab my notebook and the map just in case.

We finally made it out of the cabin and started up the path to hit the main path to try to find the signs that pointed to the mess hall, we walked a few going down the paths when we seen a sign that said mess hall 0.5 miles.

OK.. Tara says stoping us

This is where we part ways! She said before starting to walk away..

WAIT.. I said really quick

What.. she turns and looks at me

Ok so listen it’s fine you want to go off on your own but if you run in to any issues you call me or find my dad alright..

FINE! but I should be good so I’m going later.. an with that she turned and left.

I gave it a few seconds before starting walking agin when Roxy pulls in my mind..

ROXANNE- Girll! If your sister keeps acting the way she be acting I’m going to come out and whoop some a$$, IM NOT PLAYING!

Calm down girl I know,, she just human if I could tell her about us I would and then maybe everything would be better.. I say with a sad expression.

ROXANNE- Don’t be sad Mel we will get through this I promise.

I got pulled out of my talk with Roxy when I made it to the mess hall doors and the squealing like screams I heard when I entered, MELANIEEEEE!! Before I could reacted two beautiful girls rush toward me and jumped on me..

OMG!!.. MEGAN,, ELAINE!!!

My you guys have grown and both slaying in the looks department.. I mean I know I’ve seen you guys over FaceTime but you know how that works, we all took a mint taking in how much we have grown…

Elaine’s rocking her black hair that came to her shoulders but was partly pulled up with a green crock top on that showed her flat toned stomach, she was the definition dark tan and beautiful with her also brown golden eyes.

Then you have Megan very beautiful as well she wasn’t nearly as tan as me and Elaine but she had a little sun kissed skin glow with freckles and curly dirty blonde hair that came a little passed her shoulders and her amazing forest green eyes that popped with the makeup she had on, she was also toned and fit where she had to do vigorous training to keep up with us wolfs…

I got broke from my thoughts taking in my friends looks.

GIRL… you talk about us but look at you your drop dead gorgeous Mel,, Elaine says in shock looking all over me

Ok ok that’s enough we better go find food I’m starving.. (loud belly growls)

Ummm yea I would say so.. Megan pokes my stomach to see if that would make it growl agin..

As we got are lunch’s and sat down and talked what we all have been in to these past 2 1/2 years, I got distracted when I heard a Ping from El’s phone.

Who’s that you talking to Elaine.? A boyfriend maybe..?

Nah… she said with a giggle still looking at her phone and then back at me, Just someone you will meet later.. she gave me a wink and then went back to stuffing her face.

Welll ok then.. I said kinda annoyed that she wouldn’t tell me..

We all got pulled from are conversation when my dad went up on the Podium to start talking..

HELLO EVERYONE!! As you know I’m Beta Jason Scott and head counselor of this camp, I am so glad to spend another grateful summer with all of you guys it’s going to be a blast.

I see we have a few old faces and a few new faces around here you all having a good evening!

EVERYONE—— YES SR.

GLAD TO HEAR IT! So as some of you may know this is are 25th annual camp year!! Yea pretty exciting right, I manly want to come up here and introduce my self and see how everyone is and to let you know I want everyone to be back here at 10:00am sharp.

NO SLEEPING IN, It’s very important we have to go over a lot of stuff tomorrow but for now enjoy your food and have a good night, and I expected everyone in there cabins before midnight there will be some of the main leaders making there rounds so if you get caught you will have to pay the consequences alright you all have a Good Night!

EVERYONE—— (clapping there hands!)

After my dads announcements about everyone was done eating and making there way back to there cabins, as I got up from the table to do the same thing that was until Elaine stoped me..

You want to go on a run before you go back?

At those words my eyes went purple from where it’s be a while since I let Roxy out and boy was she ready to run!

I’ll take that as a HELL YEA! Elaine grabs my hand and we dash out of the mess hall in a sprit..

After walking a good bit deep in the woods we striped are clothes off and shifted in to are wolfs

Your welcome I say with a giggle, it does feel good being on four paws for a mint.

I look over to see Elaine’s wolf she was beautiful a little shorter then me with a black coat that also had a white moon cress on her right shoulder blade, after exchanging are wolf sent we took off for a run.

Oh how I needed this I usually shift about every night or morning since I really couldn’t around Tara and her dad, lucky for me my mother found a cute house right outside the red stone moon packs territory and since they new my dad and my mom from the past they let me hunt and shift on there Territory and I got to train as well.

After awhile they kinda took me in and I became one of the pack I made a short oath that I would be loyal and protect the pack and with that I became there tracker, they new my father pretty well and when I told them that I was leaving for summer camp they actually already new and was ok with it..

After running for a few I could feel it was getting late and I promised my mom for the first night I would make sure Tara and I was at the cabin at a decent hour…

Hey!! I got to go home,, I finally broke through to Elaine she looked pretty in thought probably talking through her pack link.

Oh ok yea I have to head back two! See you in the morning,, BYE…

We both go to shift back and put are clothes on, I gave her a quick wave goodbye then headed to my cabin I quickly looked at my phone, 7:15pm ok so not to late i was on the right path I was only a few yards from my cabin.

When I finally reached my cabin going in side I went to the kitchen to get me some water..

Well how was the run.?

I turned to see my dad in the kitchen as well eating some cereal.

Um fine I guess what you doing here I know this ain’t your cabin.?

Ah yea well I told your mom I would stay here the first night to make sure you and your sister didn’t kill each other.. he says with a slight smirk on his face..

Ok well first of all she is my soon to be step sister, and second I don’t think you have anything to worry about she has made it pretty obvious that she doesn’t want to be seen by me..

After my last sentence the door of the cabin opens..

Well hello party animal have a fun first evening, I say to Tara who walked in looking like she ran a Marathon..

Tara looks at me with a squinted face and said,, Yea sure we can call it that would have been better if there wasn’t so many freaking paths to choose from, why haven’t you looked at your phone humm..

Well I figured you was already home and in bed miss goody two shoes, also what happened to the map.. I say back to her taking another drink of my water then putting it in the sink.

You know what Mel your right I should have been in bed and I would have if I had a little help getting back to the cabin, and the map got wet when I spilt water on it at the mess hall..! She said then turned off to go upstairs and slammed her bedroom door…

THATS RIGHT GO TO BED PRINCES!! I yell up the stairs just as p*ss off as she is,

goddess since when am I a baby sitter.

My dad comes to me pulling me in to a hug to calm me down I guess with in the argument Roxy was trying to take over because my eyes started to glow, I instantly relax in to my dads sent of pine and fresh rain..

It will be ok my little firecracker she will calm down and be in a better mood tomorrow,, with that he kissed my head told me he loves me and was turning in for the night..

I love you to daddy goodnight…

After straightening up the kitchen I went up stairs my self to my room and put my night clothes on, I then also removed what was left of the makeup before climbing in my bed, deciding I would just take a shower in the morning.

Before plugging in my phone and setting the alarm for 8:50am, I figured I could get ready with in that time frame for tomorrow’s gathering at the mess hall since dad said we had to be there for 10:00am.

After setting my alarm I got a text from the girl’s.

MEGAN & ELAINE ;p

MEGAN: You girls make it home ok..?

MELANIE: Yep I’m home already in bed ready for tomorrow!!

ELAINE: I just got out of the shower getting ready for bed as well.

MELANIE: Oh before getting off here with you girls, El are you ok you seemed pretty eagerly to get home what was up with that..?

ELAINE: Uhh… just a few member of the pack coming back home from there long trip, my mom mind linked me told me I needed to be there to great them home so yea that’s pretty much why I was in a hurry, so Uhh… Night girls see you in the morning ;*

(ELAINE HAS SIGNED OFF)

MEGAN: Well that was weird..?!

MELANIE: Um yea you don’t say?!

MEGAN: We will have to see what she’s hiding tomorrow but for now I’m going to sleep to Night B :*

MELANIE: Yea ok.. Night B :*

I sat my phone on my nightstand and got comfy in the covers while drifting off to sleep I couldn’t help but dream of him…………
