Erica FLASH

The way they celebrated everyday portrayed how they were living blissfully as a family. For some reasons,every day was literally Christmas for them as they would either celebrate their dog, their cat or their little girl. It was mostly about their little Erica. At exactly ten o'clock in the night after the usual family merriments, Mrs Boniface was about to put her daughter to bed because little Erica had fallen asleep in her arms, but that was when the unexpected happened. The successive smashing sound from downstairs reverberated around the atmosphere that it made the little girl snapped out of sleep. "Mom what happened?" Erica's eyes lit up in fear as her tiny voice questioned her mother. "It's okay baby, everything is alright" She was placating the little girl while stroking her blonde hair. "But mom i feel scared!" Erica said "Shhh...shhh mommy will never let anything happen to you ok" her mother softly kissed her on the forehead as she assured her. "Please baby stay right here and do not come out no matter what" Her mother briefly instructed her before storming out of the room. Few minutes after her mother had left, there was a loud shriek of pain echoing around the house,she knew it was her father's voice, at that point she had to disobey her mother's instruction. Little Erica ran out of the room wailing "Daddy! daddy! daddy!" She paused at the bottom of the stairs when she saw the lifeless body of her father and the dog laying on the floor in their own Pool of blood. She slowly walked towards them, when she was inches closer, she started to snivel, looking sad and stunned. She fell weakly upon the lifeless man, clinging to him she exclaimed. "Daddy! daddy please wake up, wake up please, please" Her eyes travelled to the dead dog and then she began to sob. The sound of gunshots literally pulled down the whole building as the bullets whizzed tro and fro, piercing into the innocent walls, and chattering mirrors and glasses all over the house. Erica's mouth fell open when she perceived her mother fighting violently against some masked men, the woman handled the gun professionally like a snipper, with every swift shot she made, more men fell. Though very young, she was still mesmerized by her mother's fighting skills, as she stared at her in complete astonishment. She patently saw how the woman effortlessly practiced the act of martial art like a martial artist, she saw how her heel descended unto her opponents like the blade of an axe, sending them to the floor, screeching. The feeling of hope that crept into her heart instantly transmuted into fear the moment she heard her mother screamed painfully from the bullet that pierced into her body. Blood and blood immediately connected as the little girl cried while she sprinted past the dangers that lurked around the environment, to her mother who was now on her knees with her left hand on her injured shoulders. "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy! mommy you are bleeding,you are bleeding!" Erica was crying as she called, pointing at her mother's injury. "No baby mommy is fine ok it is just some wine stain....ok it is nothing at all" Her mother effortlessly lied. Mrs boniface was already in tears on sensing how the traumatic situation affected her baby girl, but as a fighter she quickly braced herself and fought back the more tears that threatened her eyes. She glanced over her daughter and spoted some masked men from a distance coming closer,she instinctively sensed the sound of their c*****g guns. Her heart skipped and then at that moment the mother in her manifested, the only thing in her mind was to protect her little Erica at all cost, even if it would cost her own life. "At the count of one to three,i want you to run past that door and never look back no matter what, can you do that for Mommy?" She briefly asked her daughter. Erica nodedd in agreement while still sobbing. "What about you Mommy?" She enquired worriedly. " Mommy will be fine...i will be with you shortly after which i am done fighting the bad guys" her mother assured her. "One,two three....run!" Mrs Boniface ordered as she bravely stood in the front of danger, covering her daughter from harm, she agressively opened fire against her opponents. Little Erica tore through the darkness along the lonely streets of california, she ran as fast as her small legs could generate, panting alongside. At some point she began to cry, her innocent heart grieved for her dead father,her dead dog and cat, and perhaps for her mother. The restraining sound of the Jeep that screeched to a halt in front of her, made her paused in front of it, as it's head light illuminated on her, capturing every ounce of her appearance, she covered her face, wedging the light rays with her fragile hands. A young man hurried out of the Jeep towards her, she tried to run but at that point her body and and soul were already fighting to stay conscious. when the young man tried to confront her, she collapsed into his hands and drifted deeply into Oblivion. the man surveyed every nook and crannies of the road as if trying to see if anybody was watching the scene, after which he carried her into the Jeep. He laid her carefully on the front seat like an egg that would break if not handled carefully, and then he drove off.
