Closing night was rather emotional. Just when I thought I was holding it all together, I would lose it and a wave of sadness would wash right over me. The last time we did Act 1 Scene 1, the last time I missed a beat in the “Consider Yourself” dance, the last intermission, the final curtain call, I had to choke back tears at every turn.
“We’ll do another show,” Major promised. “Auditions for Hello Dolly are the end of August.”
“I know that show.”
“You do?”
“No.”
