AJ brought out a huge box of pastries once Abby and I returned with everyone’s coffee orders. “I’ve been watching Bill closely,” I said to her. “Amos, I mean…to see if I can catch any sign he and AJ did it last night.” During our coffee run, I’d told her all about their date to Telly’s. “What would we notice?” she asked. “Well, it depends on how it went, right?
