Sam was waiting for me outside already.
“Tell me everything is ready for me. Let's get going. Is it-”
I looked at his face and I could see that he didn't look so good.
“What is it? What's going on?”
“The Elders. They're here and they're saying things.”
From that description alone, I knew that they had brought trouble with them. Trouble that I wasn't in the mood for. Why couldn't they just get out of my way and make life easier for me?
